And the mystery is solved!
The game is a 10 play nickel, 6 coin variant of Bonus Poker Deluxe.
In other words 60 nickels ($3.00) per bet for 10 hands. I left up over $150 with no royals but way over on four of a kinds.
I made a video on my old video camera. If it came out right I will post it on youtube tomorrow.
Here is the 6 coin paytable:
Jacks 5
2 pair 5
3oak 15
straight 20
flush 25
fh 45
4oak 800 not a misprint-EIGHT HUNDRED
sf 250
rf 4000
Now I KNOW there is a computer wizard out there who can give me the EV on this game!

I wonder if I should hold a low (or even high) pair over 4 to a flush on this game?

I am definitely NOT a computer wizard, but I did put that pay scale into the wizard of odds calculator, which indicated a return of just under 118% for a five coin wager. Since six coins are needed to play the game, the return reduces to about 98.18% (I think).

Should have just said low pair. High is obvious. One too many Captain and Coke's.

The Encore Boston game is 9/5, yes? It's 98.18% according to both onemoretry's calculation and Wizard's vp analyzer.

The 10/6 on this site returns 99.77%.

Usually a short-pay game loses at least 1% for each reduction of the full house or flush. But this game is all about chasing quads. You never hold a dealt full house. When dealt two pair, you hold only the high pair if available. You hold a high pair over any 3-to-a-royal. And you usually hold a pair over a flush draw.
