It's not. You just have to try harder!

It's easy, I often get 4 hearts or 4 spades, etc

Pretty much for the same reason that the prize for getting quads is relatively large.

It is much easier if you play Deuces Wild.

Boy I know that sooo well. Some days flushes, the lack thereof that is, drives me to tears.

I also quite often get maybe twice as many 4OAK's as the number of hands would call for (on average for JOB).
Just back from 1 1/2 day trip. Apx. 5000 hands and 23 Quads and still lost $360. Flushes and Full houses not on schedule.

my favorite game was the ultimate four of a kind, where you had 5 hands played for 6 credits each or 30 credits total per bet. if you get four of a kind you trigger a bonus game with 53 cards including a joker that paid 4000 credits if you picked it. four aces gave you 3 picks four deuces or 3s or 4s resulted in 2 picks. i dont play much vp anymore but a big reason i stopped was i could no longer find this game. i could only occassionally find the single hand ultimate four version.
