Best available game at Borgata is the 99.75% 9/6JOB multi-strikes, but my favorite game is the 9/5 Super Double Bonus, a 99.69% game for which I have the strategy down pretty good. Like the fact that over half of the quads you get are premium quads 2's, 3's 4's, Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces. Can sometimes get on a nice quad run and win 1k quickly on a .50 denom.

I don't have a decisive, definitive favorite VP game/version....my moods switch, change, ebb & flow over the course of time...

Since I curtailed my overall, total VP activity almost two years ago in 2015 (down to about a third of what I used to play, in both time and money) compared to the previous six years (2009 to 2015), I'm more into a variety of gimmicky games like extra draw frenzy, the five star menu of games, ultimate four of a kind etc. I think because now, when I do play I'm more interested in fun and interesting experiences instead of the bottom line... I still play QQs too which is a holdover from my more serious rigid days prior to 2015.

Pre-2015 it was mostly ddb, 25 cents, especially progressive games with multiple meters for the premium quads....in AC, I felt those machines were less likely to be messed with simply because the meter told you what has been happening as of late and you could do the math to extrapolate just how long it was taking for the big hands to hit.

I can TOTALLY relate to this. I guess I was a small-time AP in the early days of online casinos. I wish I could remember the name of the first online casino I stumbled on, but seeems like it was “Caribbean (something) Casino, maybe “CCC” were the initials. Wish I could.

Very first time, logged in, sent $25 for $25 match and depleted the deposit before match hit. Became impatient, deposited again. Hit 4 queens, was up to $92 or something and by now, the match bonus had been transferred.   Decided to cash out at $100 or $50 (a system that would later be used every time I played...sorta guardrails). A few hands later, held three and BAAM- RF! Adrenaline pounding, dashed to our bedroom to wake the War Department to let her share in the glorious excitement...she opened her eyes to exclaim, .........”oh”, rolled over and went back to sleep.

I then sat down in front of the screen and thought now would be a good time to figure out how I’ll collect. Read everything and finally just called. Was greeted by a gentleman with a very nice accent, sounded British or something similar. We chatted, he congratulated me, I provided whatever he asked for and he told me a cashiers check would be delivered “by courier” in three days. I distinctly remember my reply. “Look, I want to believe you, but the truth is that it’s 11 o’clock at night and I’m sitting here in my underwear in Oklahoma, talking to a man I’ll never meet, thousands of miles away who’s telling me that a check for one thousand dollars is coming my way.” His response, “Well, Mr. (Do;) then you’re in for a pleasant surprise!” Long story longer, I opened a separate account to prevent anything goofy, deposited the check and began an online career of relatively small time AP that ended up earning me somewhere north of $75k over many years. If I had the money and knowledge then that I do today, who knows what I’d have earned. I collaborated with others who had far deeper pockets than I did and who made killings. I’m sure they got banned from some cash but in the early days, those bonuses were crazy good, very limited play through requirements and VP was treated like slot play.

All of that said, I’ve softened. I play for fun but pretty well stick to as close to perfect play as I can but it’s not as important to me these days.

On topic- Multi-Strike DDB $1 machines. I LOVE them. Best I’ve done on any one hand is a RF on line 2 and I think 2222A on the top. Think the last one was north of $6000 and of course the other $8000.

Found another game that I think I could grow to like as much- it was at Rio, something to do with dealt aces turning into multiple shots at the draw but I cannot remember the game, but I know EXACTLY where it was. Funny how that works.

We stay at TR properties and have a trip to Vegas planned very soon. Because I share your mindset and maybe experience, do you know of particular casinos that have these “quirky” games? I don’t usually venture very far because they treat me quite nicely but would if I knew for sure that I’d find $1 machines that are fun to play. Variance does not bother me a bit...let me reel that back in, I won’t play Ultimate X- it’s just too steep for me. I watched a man lose $50k on low denomination multi- hand play on a cruise and it was terrifying to watch.

So, one vote for Multi-Strike!

I'm a big Powerhouse Poker fan. They seem to be popular with others as well since those machines are usually occupied.

Active X - Double Double Bonus. Payouts can be big even when playing just $.05 or $.10.
