March Madness Consolation - Lucky Draw Hits Trip

Post by Lucky Larry »

Last week our long-time casino host treated us to her annual dinner. There are usually 8-12 players who she invites and the casino treats us to a dinner and free play drawings. Last year we dined at Vic and Anthony's and the 10 of us decided to split the $5,000 free play between us so we all got $500 in free play. This year another host joined with their players and it was decided they would draw names for 5 -$1,000 free plays amounts. My name was one of the five. Yahoo!

Sweet C and I decided to play $500 per night since we were staying two nights. (Free play can not be played on VP-just slots.) We pulled a little over $600 off night one, split it and hit the VP machines. My luck continued as I pulled a Royal off a AKQJ of spades on a 5 hand Bonus Poker machine.

Friday evening our daughter Carrie arrived for her special weekend. She had been invited to the invitation only "Billionaire Club". Tier benefits include $600/month in free meals at the multiple restaurants so we dined at Vic and Anthony's. Unfortunately, we were eating during my UH Coog March Madness game. Our Coog loss put a damper on the evening. We played our second $500 in free play and ended up with another $600 which we split. Playing 22 hands of 10¢ Deuces Wild it dealt me 4 deuces. A nice $2,200 consolation prize for UH losing was my feeling! That was followed by several other great hits and then Sweet C catching a Royal holding AK10 on single hand Deuces Wild.

Saturday we packed up, treated Carrie to lunch at Salt Grass on our comps and decided to play our traditional $100 each before we left. Two hours later we left up another $1,200 as Sweet C caught deuces twice on 50¢ single hand. I held my one and we both went home very happy.

Glad Sweet C and you had a rewarding VP week. As much as I support teams, personally, I'd trade them losing for me winning. Again condolences on UH's loss.

Excellent report Double L, I'm very happy for the both of you. Uh-oh, no winnings for Carrie worth mentioning?

I got one picture around 1:00 a.m. of Carrie and our granddaughter, Carrie had caught a Royal on $1 Spin.
