that game is fixed ya idiot, playing a negative game will cost you money $$$$ =)

next time try single hand and a game where pair pays double you might actually come home a winner!

Nice hit!

There is an old saying, (since I'm approaching old age) "Don't judge others until you've walked in their moccasins/shoes." Those of us not in Vegas only have access to negative games. In weighing my gaming choices I consider many factors including the pay tables. But, I also consider volatility therefore, I rarely play many player's favorite TDB and DDB and choose low volatility Bonus, DW, DWB. But, since its my entertainment $ I get to choose how I want to spend it (freedom of choice - ain't it grand). If you are lucky enough to have money for things beyond the basics like entertainment you choose how you spend it. Some spend it on clothing, golf, cars, liquor, drugs, cruises, guns/ammo, or gaming. We have friends who spend $ thousands for season tickets to the area pro teams and tailgating. IMO not much financial return there. I get to watch those games in my own house for free. With my VP choice I have a fair chance of getting my money back and with comps my negative games become closer to positive. I can go to a GN resort every week, have wonderful rooms, access to an awesome pool, get a free spa treatment, a round of golf, and one or two free big dinners every week at the casino. We can bring our family and friends over with us and never pay for their rooms/meals. I haven't paid for a Landry's meal at home (we eat with family one night weekly) at Landry's or Salt Grass in over two years since I can use my comp $ to pay for my meals. Oh, and the new king size linen set (August gifts) became replacements saving a family member a bundle. Comp and gift clothing, purses, watches, cookware for the kids, blenders, luggage, cruise vouchers, free concerts, all add up to make the games a little less negative. Besides VP keeps my mind alert, the hits give me an adrenaline rush, and when my name gets drawn (several times for $1K and twice $2k in free play) i get really excited. Sometimes dangerous at my age. LOL.

But, it still all comes down to what do we want to do for pleasure in our lives. Sweet C and I choose to enjoy being with our family, traveling, and gambling. For us often its a combined choice that gives us a good return for our entertainment dollar. But, then growing up poor, raised by parents who lived through the Great Depression and WWII, what would I know about money. I worked multiple jobs until I retired at 56! Now I'm just enjoying life. Another old saying some of us really old people remember is, "A penny saved is a penny earned" and ...when I retired I learned at 7% return in the stock markets that might become a 25 cents. ;)

I've never posted anything on here before, but ironically, this happened to me today and I feel it's very appropriate to the conversation!
