Suggestions on Games or Denoms w/$400 free play?
I am returning to a casino in August and they are giving me $400 free play so I will throw in an additional $100 for a total starting bankroll of $500. How should I start out my 2 days of video poker marathon?

2 days? Play penny game JoB.
If you plan to give it a shot of 5 minutes of going big or go home, do it on the dollar game TDB or TTB.

What are the highest returning games in that casino for quarters or less? Of those, which ones do you know how to play well? If there is more than one such game (i.e. good pay schedule and you're competent), which one of them is your personal favorite? (i.e. some folks prefer DW. Some like DDB. etc.)
Whatever game you came up with at the end of the previous paragraph, that's the game you should be playing. The $400 in "gift" money isn't special. It's just part of your bankroll. Play intelligently with it.

Why not play the $400 through once, cash out and use the money to buy something you really want.

I would give you different advice excet you used the word Marathon. Assuming a Marathon is 8 hours a day for 2 days, no quarter game that is in a really bad cycle will let you last that long. Just the other day, I caught one of those cycles on 9/6 JOB. I only caught one quad in 8 hours of play. Also the full houses were few and far between. If quads are not coming in on Job, one can expect to lose about 50 bucks an hour betting 5 coins at a time and about 600 hands per hour. Assuming everything else is coming out as it should, by the end of the first day , you would be just about out of money. If you weren’t playing a Marathon, I would say just play 400 hands on 9/6 job and keep whatever you get by the end of 400 hands. With your own 100 buck money, I would play whatever you like on quarters for as long as you like until you hit a jackpot or run out of money. Then you would still have maybe 300 or so of the 400 free play money to keep. No matter what, find the best paytables you can and stay with those games

I will have to check the payback websites. I can't remember from my last trip to Mohegan in CT. I did hit a royal towards my last trip on DW .50 $2000. I also hit 4 deuces on a .25 3 handed ultimate aces 4X multiplier holding 1 deuce $1000. In between I caught a straight flush dealt on Deal Draw 5 handed when I doubled my bet from 50 to 100 quarters $1877.50. To say I had a lucky trip would be an understatement. Most people can't hit premium hands like that over a long span even myself. Poker gods!! Took home a $3000 profit all from using this website to play different games and gets some practice.BobDancer wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 1:42 pmWhat are the highest returning games in that casino for quarters or less? That is a lot of numbers and math. Thankfully I got good grades in math and thanks for breaking it down. I am bringing $1500 cash and have that $400 free play. Didn't know if I should take a shot on a higher denom or maybe a $1 9/6 double bonus game to start out with that initial risk? I definitely will use the starting bankroll on the best paytable.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 5:01 pmI would give you different advice excet you used the word Marathon. 9/6 double bonus is a super bad game. $1900 Won’t even get you 2 hours of play on dollar denomination.

Yeah I looked up that game and I realize that now. It looks like they have 99.54% JoB and 98.98% DDB. I prefer DDB of the 2 but sacrificing the .56% worth it? They also have 99.81% DBDW but only $1. Might have to practice that one b4 I go. My locals are typically around 97.something %. They are pretty crappy at lower or even any denom.
