Several years ago at Coushatta I watched a young man playing 100 hand 5¢. The games are all 99% return. He was dealt 4RF three times during the night and he never caught a one. He was down but accepting after the first null run. The second time he was down and angry. The third time he was totally defeated. The only blessing was he was catching a RF sometimes holding 2-3RF hands. I knew exactly how he must have felt.

Just 46 more smashed machines until he is under-royaled and overdue- then what havoc will he unleash? I certainly hope he is taking out the poor paytables!

Point to consider TT on poor paytable machines. If they disappear along with the shnooks that feed them,VP would fade away.

Ironically, as you were typing, I posted something regarding playing inferior pay tables in the Recreational Forum. I play poor pay tables but definitely wouldn't call myself a shnook. BTW, over the years, I've done no worse and even better playing them than ones with higher EVs. I know the argument that in the long run that won't be the case. However in the long run, the result will be my estate will be less for my heirs.

BTW, Shnooks are likeable folks who are more to be pitied than despised. No pity needed here.

Must keep those poor pay table machines humming for our sake! They’re keeping the golden goose alive.

Ah, yes wise one. But the alternative is him smashing good paytables!

Funny, I force myself to play the best paytables, 90 percent of the time, but all and I mean all of my big hits have been on the bad ones. How is that even possible after 25 years and like 20 million hands. That includes 18k twice in a 12 hour period, ten hits over 8,000. and a couple of dozen over 5,000. They would have been in the 97/98 range. It sounds even more impossible due to the limited play time I give them.

Olds, there it is- overwhelming evidence for YOU to play inferior machines! Thank you for your compliance. And thanks for the open seats...

Imagine what could be if you seek out the worst of the worst. And play large.

Shortly after that a tech comes over to check a machine that was the victim of the lack of anger management. see pic. The machine was even active evidently when he hit it in anger over his machine not hitting his Royal. $2,000 fine and a permanent ban from the casino for 5 years. Dude! What were you thinking! or Drinking!!

Came on this while browsing during a restless night and must relate the following:

Sometime around 15 years ago I was playing $1 vp at Caesars AC along side a "gentleman" who held a dealt trip, failed to connect for the quad, and slammed his fist down HARD onto the machine (slant top). I just about fell out of my chair.

20 minutes later, the same progression of events. I questioned my sanity in continuing to play next to him (inventory was thin; not much choice).

So, sometime into the 2nd hour of my play beside this *******, he repeats the routine with added force. These machines were old, even at that time. They were of the type that had a clear plexiglass top, under which there was an "old-fashioned" CRT. He not only cracked the plexiglass, but actually penetrated it enough that he cracked the CRT glass as well!

I relished the arrival of a floor manager. Surely this guy would get bounced ...

Someone arrives, addresses the fist-banger, and says < to my absolute incredulity >: "I'm sorry for the difficulty. We'll get your meter paid out as soon as possible."
