I have seen a player hold only a 3 playing TDB and pull three more 3's and a kicker for a handpay. When I asked him what his reasoning was for doing this he said he had hit on something like this a few times before. I don't play enough TDB to know how big an error this was but in his case it probably made his day for him. It amazes me how many times you see luck triumph over sound strategy.
I put in this hand on a 9/6 pay table and here's the result. Seems holding the 3 over drawing 5 new cards costs about 2.23%
The best game there is 9/5 Triple Triple Bonus which pays 98.6%.
I took a walk over from Harrah's last night to check out the VP at the nugget. Most of the DDB is 9/5 and 8/5 but there are a few 9/6 at dollar level. Try Rush lounge. TDB is 9/5 at quarter through $2, but I guess that's pretty poor return. I'm used to 9/7. Sorry don't play JoB or DW...
