The Dead Streak

Post by Lucky Larry »

The streak is now a half dozen trips to the casino and no 25¢ or higher RF and very few 4/Deuces after this past weekend's trip for Sweet C birthday with two of the daughters. The last RF was Sweet C's $2K on August 8. Up until then we were on a fairly good RF streak with a dozen already for the year in spite of the COVID shutdown.

So it didn't do my ego any good when daughter Carrie sent this picture on her way over to GNLC and asked if it was mine since this is the machine I often play and she knew we were already there. :cry:
Wrong time - an hour before we arrived; Wrong game -TDB and wrong number of hands but its still is one of my dream hits. I've gotten RF on 50 hands @ 5¢ and 100 hands @ 2¢ but not the 100 @ 5¢. My dream hand still awaits me!!!
TDB RF 100 hands.jpg
The picture renews my VP prayer;
That I could be that VP player;

But, I'll have to wait;
For my own VP fate;

But, dreams can come true;
If the RNG timing is right for you.

LL. Count your blessings. I haven't had a royal at the casino in so long I can't remember the last time. It has been at least 4 years and probably a few years longer. I'm sure you will hit your next one before me as I only play single handed and not that many hands. Having said all that, hope all is well with you and sweet C and that you are not impacted by the current hurricane, Delta, on its way to the gulf coast.

Yeah, count your blessings. I can’t remember my last one, either. Just saying.

You could always go to quarters. This was posted on another site and isn't mine.

Thanks for the hurricane concerns. This one looks like it'll be east of Houston/Texas and closer to New Orleans. Prayers for those in its way. I'm so excited its east of us because my Houston Coogs will finally be able to play their first football game of the season. With Rice cancelling (wk 1), Washington not traveling (wk 2), Memphis getting COVID and rescheduling (wk 3), scheduling Baylor to replace Memphis, Baylor cancelling the day before the game for COVID (wk 4), North Texas cancelling (wk 5) because of COVID we finally look like well play our first game 5 weeks into the schedule. Meanwhile, our team 175 COVID tests on test day and no positives for weeks the boys are getting tired of hitting each other. Ironically, Tulane is coming from New Orleans since they were scheduled to be here this year. Otherwise, we'd be cancelling again if we were playing in NOLA tomorrow night. So yahoo!!! Thursday night football in Texas!! On ESPN at 6:30 central. Watch for me front row, dead center end zone with my brother. Go Coogs!

I was going to joke about cardboard stiffs but it looks like there will fans at the game so I will assume you and your brother are going. Stay safe LL and bro. Get there early so you can get a UH face mask. Enjoy!

Got my two UH face masks. Really enjoyed getting to go to a game! Enjoyed the game (after the first quarter turnovers-due to being their first game opportunity) and spending time with my brother. We originally gave up our season tickets but ended up buying two just for us. The spacing was great only 6 people for the whole front row of our section spaced about 15-20 feet apart. He coordinates organ transplants and so we are both extremely careful when out. With COVID we had to give up our weekly brother/spouse dinners so we hadn't seen each other for a couple of weeks.

Not sure if the cut outs were counted in the 8K attendance- :lol: Our crowd guessitimate was around 2K not counting cut outs. Probably all the season tickets holders were counted in the 8K. They didn't even scan our tickets. :wacko:

LL: Glad you got to go and see your brother. Next time you see him, thank him for his work in a critical health field. UH's win added to your good day. Out of curiosity, did you have a cardboard cutout there as well?
