Uxtimate X Question

Post by Gigi2 »

Playing 3 hands Dueces Wild $1 Ultimate X at Golden Nugget.
Drew 3 Dueces and 2 3's for 5 of a kind x 5 paying $300 per line total $900.
Do I go for the 4 dueces paying $5000 or keep my pat $900? If I missed the least I would get each line would have been $100 or $300 total. So a $600 bet for $5000 or more?

Math wise 1in47 shot at $5000 should mean holding the 5OAK was correct play.
Have been wrong before. :)

I knew that was probably the play. Thank you. Last month I drew a straight flush to the King x 8 multiplier on one line. I took the pat hand. But thought about it the whole trip. Came home and played that hand in my phone. Took about 50 tries to hit it.

Thanks Tech 58. I have been lucky but not the last few trips. Ultimate X super streaky and of course that is all I want to play since I hit this. Lucky Larry was sitting beside me.

Isn't hitting a quad drawing to trips a 1 in 23.5 shot?

Not to me. (although if you posted that in the Recreational Forum, I wouldn't comment on it. People are expected to make statements like that there.)

all lucky does is help you win today. Which isn't terrible, but most people who depend on luck end up long term losers.

Learning to play correctly is WAY better. You'll still have some lucky moments on occasion, but over time you'll be a long term winner.

Hop, an announcement of congratulations may depend on what you discarded! ;)

In some cases, it would depend on the pay schedule, or comps, or mailers if you were using a players card; but if not, since this was the result of a vulture-play, you could still be congratulated on a plus-EV play worth about 86 cents!

It is certainly better than a typical swing and a miss when holding a single high card. And it was quite skillful of you to place the quads on the 3x multiplier line.
