About the $500 free play offer in HardRock

HardRock offers $500 free on some Fridays if you hit a hand pay jackpot between 6-10 PM. This offer seems to be an ongoing deal at least twice a month. I thought it was a good deal and did some math.
The best game that I could hit more jackpots there is 9/6 DDB on $5 denomination. The math is as follows:

Awesome, right? So it's about a 4% long-term edge if I keep playing with this offer.
I was on a tight schedule but I drove there before 9:45 PM. I printed out the offer slip in the kiosk and I hit a quad luckily before 10 PM. After the attendant came by and surprisingly she told me video poker was not qualified for this offer.
I looked a the slip carefully, it says "video poker is not qualified" printed in the tiny font. But it's not on the mailer. I checked the mailer 3 times before I tossed it in my trash can after I came back.
I cursed about 5 minutes on my way out for starving me for the night since I skipped my dinner to rush for this offer.
Hope this casino closes soon.

The best thing about HR is its row of casual restaurants, for those with free time. The music and high energy is also stimulating if one is not gambling. You reminded me to hit their White House Subs. It's right next to my recent Resorts pit stop. And I do mean pits, as their VP is the pits as well.
Anyway, what was your overall session outcome, if you don't mind sharing?

Mohegan Sun still has the tiny stickers on their vp machines that pay in the mid 98% range to the mid 99% range. It says....this machine does not pay momentum dollars... meaning points you can spend. I would say 80 percent of vp players are clueless on this. Not only that, they don’t even look at pay tables.

Funny, Foxwoods has a Hard Rock Cafe restaurant though. Don’t know if they are involved in the gaming operations there. Speaking of Foxwoods, I hold a Platinum card there. I have not had one promotional offer from them in nearly a year. Needless to say, Mohegan Sun is getting 100 percent of my business and unfortunately, I have contributed heavily to their bottom line with only one hand pay since mid July. Emails, phone calls, and even a personal visit while I was in the area of Foxwoods still resulted in no offers. One has to wonder who if anyone runs the marketing department of Foxwoods. Bottom line for any casino is sometimes the fine print does not give all of the details. They can change their minds on a whim on promotions for no apparant reason when it comes to promotions or anything really. That is a bummer Ted for sure on that experience. I know it doesn’t mean much, but I have never set foot in their restaurant. Heard the food and service wasn’t very good and the prices were high. If anyone has exeriences to the contrary, I would be curious.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding this. You have an elite card at a casino but have not played there in a long time, but you keep emailing and calling them for offers? Why not just give them a good days play and see what they send?

Been there done that. No change. Gave up months ago on contacting them anymore. I was still playing when the offers stopped. Quit back in March due to Covid concerns and when they reopened nothing. The exact opposite from Mohegan Sun. Used to be a 60/40 split on my business. 40 was Foxwoods, but still pretty heavy. Usually, 8-10k coin in a week at Foxwoods. I think my last offers from Foxwoods were last early February. Had about 5 contacts in total since June 1 when they reopened. NA DA. Also one good faith trip in June dropping nearly 2,000 there. I give up at this point. Saves me 20 minutes on the drive anyway.
