$50,000 Free Play / How much actual cash?

Post by Lucky Larry »

Heard this from our daughter who was present for the drawing. Golden Nugget Lake Charles (GNLC) last weekend had a drawing for the top point winner for the month-$50,000 in Free Play. The winner had 680,000 points to win the $50K in free play and 30 days to play it. Second place was 30K point behind - I think 2nd got $10K in free play. The gentleman is a high limit player and he told Carrie he had over 1,200 G statements for last year. At $4/point X 680,000 = $2.7 million coin in for the month.

How much actual cash do you math wizards estimate he played to play $2.7 coin in? It wasn't on VP but slots so I'm guessing high limit might be 92-93+ return.

This month there are two random player $50K drawings-Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm dreaming of a .....$50K free play Christmas....30 days...that's only$7K a day until New Year's Eve. ;)

I’m not sure of the exact question Ll. If I was at Mohegan Sun with the current climate, free play is aproaching 1 percent of coin in. So to get 50k in free play, one would have to run through about 5m in coin in. Slot players get so much more and better of everything, but according to public record on slot returns in Ct, the casino pays out about 91 percent of coin in to slot players, but they lump in vp players play as slots.

High Limit slots? Oof. But if it was $25 a coin games, I might be more tempted to say a 94 or 95% long term return though. But even a 95% expected return would be a $135,000 expected loss. But since he was the winner of the contest, there is a decent chance he ran better than that. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost about $50k to get that $50k free play.
