2 hours solid w/o a single hand over a FH. I cash out, walk towards the kiosk but I stopped suddenly at the only other machine in the place I didn't play yet, TDB...first hand, held three towards a straight flush and got it...wtf!!! Only $62 but I was like where the hell have these hands been all night?!

This was my experience yesterday. Two BP quads within the first Harrah's twenty minutes, one a straight flush. Then 85 minutes without a single hand over a FH! Then in the last twelve minutes two quads worth $325! WTH! Break even trip. I gave back $400, with an earlier $125 Caesars quad.
Video Poker is an enigma I'll never fully understand...

FAA in another forum post you made, you reported that yesterday (Sat 2/13) was -$45.00 for the day. Here you say it was a break even day, do you consider -$45.00 for the day a break even day?FAA wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 2:55 pm2 hours solid w/o a single hand over a FH. Not strictly; speaking psychologically after that living hell drought.

Speaking psychologically: I do not consider losing money to be a moral victory.

Agreed. I’ll be avoiding lengthy continuous play, especially there, unless I am on an absurd heater.

Is winning a dollar a moral victory? How about winning $500?

The term is a massive rationalization, a blanket cop out. You must take responsibility for bad choices and immediately correct them. It will take me a week, but I will. Don’t keep betting on more good times. You will get rolled. Better a long indulgent meal somewhere. Make that the new trip normal.

A moral victory is coming home from the casino with a smile on your face.

oh....don’t I know about that. After awhile, I thought having a tail between your legs was just normal.
