Windcreek casino has such a unique free play setup , was launched in october and removed today,
As Bob and Rich would say nothing good last forever however i did make out like a bandit during those months if those video poker machines are still downgraded windcreek may still be the best option they plan on reopening on the 4th, i managed to turn ,u 70$ free play into a whooping 125$ playing higher stakes im gonna continue to play over my head has already payed off and im sure Bob Dancer wouldn't be Bob Dancer if he had stuck with quarters through out his career yea yea i know he had everything mapped out cataloged in a neat little package before he gambled, i really don't like other casinos especially atlantic city ones where they give you 360$ free play but its chopped up in days while windcreek offers in 1 lump sum and says go have fun!

Hi Steve
It is ok to move up in stakes IF you are properly bank rolled. Bigger stakes equal bigger swings in your money. Great to win but you must have enough in reserve to last through the down times...and their will be down swings. Good luck and happy New Year.

actually have not been properly rolled each trip, but the free play they offered months ago was a hit n run, i always played quarter felt lucky just to cash out even free play but since i been playing high limit, im able to reach over the free play limit as i mentioned above 70$ fp to 125$!! could never achieve those results playing puny quarters

That’s kind of where I find myself. Jack up the stakes and hit/run. Play quarters, break even or thereabouts is a futile hamster wheel.

If I go to Mohegan Sun on triple status point days, run about 5,000 bucks through a 99.54 JOB game which for me would be about 4 hours of play, I will get a bonus of 100 bucks in free play good while I am there. I will also get 20 bucks in free play as an incentive just to go there. Long term at least on paper give me a nice edge with perfect play. Works out this way.....99.54 plus 120 divided by 5,000 gives another or 2.4 percent. Add that to 99.54 =101.94 total return long term. Combine with a free room and food and its a nice return over time

Very nice! On this forum I've noticed an undercurrent of suspicions that the machines are rigged. In your situation, you can still break even without any royals whatsoever.

In southern Nevada, you won't easily find anything comparable. Many of the locals casinos have 99.7% NSUD with 0.5 or 0.6% slot club on a multiplier day, plus whatever they send in the mail.

My numbers are for standard play, max bet with accurate strategy. I don't know how to calculate the EV of quitting when ahead.

That sure does look good. How often do you get that offer?

Isn't it the same as that for whatever game you're playing, i.e., "quitting while you're ahead" accomplishes nothing in terms of EV?

I'm probably using the wrong framework trying to measure EV. I think the idea is that if you keep your sessions short and move around a lot, the EV won't be able to catch up with you.

It sounds silly when I say it.

Triple Status points every couple of weeks at Mohegan Sun. However, the 100 free play is based on your tier status. As a soar level player, you are assigned a number of status points you have to earn in a gaming day to get the 100 free play. My number this 6 month period is 30. Easy to hit on the triple days as described above. The extra 20 just comes in the mailers. I get that almost every day 24/7.
An entry player coming for the first time would have to earn 15 status points in a gaming day to get 25 in free play. Still not a bad deal. On a triple day, 2,500 in round numbers would have to be cycled through to get the 25 in free play. That would add 1 percent though to the 99.54 and make the return long term 100.54. I doubt there would be anything extra unless you became a regular player.
Wish I could say I am ahead, but the long recent cold streaks and remaining under Royaled are keeping me in the red for last year and this quite a bit. At least enough to pay cash for a decent new car. That’s just the way vp is sometimes.
