Thanks Ll. I like ro leave the mask in bright sunlight after it has been worn. Besides all of the other percautions of course
I never or at least rarely play Deuces when the Wild Royal pays 20 instead of 25. I would have definitely kept all five holds there, but with 9 lines and paying only 20, might have gone for the Royal.
Besides having the Queen of Spades still in the deck, there were 3 more deuces that could have made If lucky, a bunch of wild Royals. Haven’t looked up the error cost. Somehow I feel it wouldn’t have been that much with the wild one paying 20. Maybe somebody knows

So everyone needs a good laugh! And, olds you'll really appreciate this with your wife's background. My university semester has already started up. Met with my students face-to-face in late July. Public school Inservice started last week and classes begin this week here in many of the area districts. Over the years, I have often heard how schools are failing in its role....With our....(inappropriate word's) governor's wisdom schools can no longer provide safety for students/staff by requiring masks and kids under 12 aren't eligible for vaccine yet. The new edicts from the Texas Education Agency (appointed by the guv) now no longer require schools to notify parents if a staff member or student in a class was sent home with Covid and are no longer required to contract trace. So, not required masks, no notification of sick staff or students, no tracing... what could go wrong.

So Friday, I go to 3 schools in a district set to begin Monday to visit my student teachers. Saturday I get a call from one of my students who has developed severe Covid symptoms. Exposure #1. Sunday at noon I receive a text from another student teacher explaining she got a text that her Cooperating Teacher tested positive for Covid. Exposure #2 2 out of 3. Nice odds....

Following protocol, I notify the university, who email me back saying because of the new rules and the fact that I'm vaccinated, therefore; I am no longer considered to have had an "exposure". Go back to work.

Four more campuses today. So tonight I told Sweet C we may as well go to the casino...it's probably safer....than at school. I fully anticipate a FUBAR coming soon to our neighborhood schools.

Addendum: Just checked my university email. In an open letter to all employees, the faculty senate has voted to override the university president (who is taking the guv's lead) and demand a return to hybrid/on-line university classes like this past spring because of the Covid situation instead of face-to-face. Gonna be an interesting semester. Gosh darn I need a casino trip!!!

LL, I posted a few days ago that three of our local casinos reinstituted wearing masks as of this past Friday. Don't know what the policy is at Louisiana casinos.

Hi LL. Nothing surprises me anymore with bureaucracies. If this wasn’t such serious stuff, I would have to laugh. The science is still changing. Go enjoy that casino trip. I’m not sure how much longer with the Covid mutants we will be able to go. By the way I worked for a bureaucracy for 34 years. Out 18 now and never looked back.
One quick school story. A number of years ago before my wife retired they decided to re-district in the town she was teaching in. They wasted quite a bit of money doing it, but what happened was families having say four children had to get their kids ready to be bussed to four different schools at four different times. Can you imagine the nightmare for the for parents trying to handle this? Not only that, it separated the older ones from taking care of the younger ones. Needless to say, they undid it all and went back to the original after a few months.
