the longest you went w/o Royal?

Post by stevel96a1 »

well i counted my log and its been 19 trips so far, keep in mind i don't plug in 8 or 12hr each trip
i think i average 3 or 4hr so 76hr i should have hit one by now and i am behind 1.5 royal.

when one gets behind a royal does it magically come back in clumps? is it gone forever and have to start a new? can a few bad hiccups ruin my play? this maybe my longest draught and going back to winpoker i don't play spot on but there too many things to consider,

yes i took a potshot playing dollar
yes i make mistakes here and there but nothing serious!
changed machines from trip to trip (if its one giant diceroll card style shouldn't matter)
i change games does that matter?? going from DW to TDB?

im thinking if i didn't try a pot shot id still be within my threshold of my quarter royal but the free play i got from it helped immensely.

so whats your longest trips w/o the Royal? i read stories people played 300k hands and still no royal i can honestly tell you i played 19 trips/outtings (some of them were just hit and runs for the free play )still no jackpot followed by 1.5 Royal down

on a side note i am considering switching from DW to TDB
reason being TDB is the only game i seen my eyes to break the +3royal flush barrier
never seen jacks or ddb swing over 13k+ but TDB can swing 10 or 20 or even 40k
rare but it still possible but on jacks? havent seen it yet

going over my style of play i did right.
was dealt the 3 to the royal w/ another jack i made the right move and saw the remaining royal cards.
this was also played on me 2 to the royal on DW except containing an Ace.
did i just miss my Royals because i played correctly? is even possible?

Did you play 60,000 hands in those 19 trips?
You should average one about every 40,000 hands depending on which game you play. That doesn't matter if you play them in one trip, 19 trips or if you play one hand on 40,000 trips

im not sure, but i did push out rougly 70hours and am down 1.5 royal on 97% return. its been 4 or 5months since my last jackpot, could be on those bad beats you hear about or could be bad pay table or could be me. too much guess work imo.

i truly do believe it helps if you play through 10hr a trip instead of short sessions of 2 or 3hr

Ebb and Flow seems to appear more often if you can land a long session otherwise HE bites you in the bum right off the top.

and what i personally mean by HE +(badluck gambling) just substract 100-300$ from your bankroll before you sitdown and play

As posted about many times in the last 8 years or so, I have had two stretches of over 600,000 hands and no Royal. Hard to believe and extremely expensive. I do play 1-2 million hands a year.

I once went 22 years without a Royal. (I didn't start playing VP until I was age 22.)

I don't count hands. No need to as I don't need the royal to give me an edge at most games I play.

I correctly predicted Olds’ reply. I last had one on February 6 and am a weekly short session player.

Using a 3.5 hour trip average, 66.5 hours. At a generous 600 hands per, 39,900 hands. Stay tuned!

I don't either but saying you are down royal and a half because you made 119 trips makes no sense. Especially when one trip is four hours and another is just to grab free play.
I have not had a royal in two years, but that is sort of expected as I have not played any VP in that time.
