Sweet C's Nice Start to '22! Dealt RF

Post by Lucky Larry »

We spent our traditional NYE celebration at Golden Nugget this year. Missed last year for Covid. Seventeen minutes into the new year and Sweet C sitting next to me hits this jewel. Down to her last $ she switched to nickles. WTG Sweet C!!!! Number 19 dealt RF for us since we began VP in 2007.

WTG Sweet C. Glad to see you posting LL. With Covid, etc. your lengthy absence from the Forum had me concerned.

It's been a wild and double load tiring semester for this old fart. On top of that I dealt with the need for back surgery which occurred at the end of the semester before Christmas. The wonders of modern laparascopic surgery - 2 small spinal incisions + 1 3" incision from the side and "poof" a four hour spinal fusion. Walking the recovery floor 4 hours later. In recovery, doing well, and trying to remember to not do the things that I'm not suppose to do like bending, reaching, sitting too long, and picking up more than 5-10 pounds. I was able to hold the newest grandson born a week before surgery when they came home for Christmas. Now, I just have to be patient and take it easy this semester, ha! ha! another double load, and let the healing take over.

Olds,
I had hoped to come up to meet you this November when UH came up to play UConn but couldn't make the trip. We'd love to come back up there again and play your two big casinos once more. Hope your wife is enjoying retirement. I'm trying to figure out how many more I want to go. Year 48 and probably will at least try to make 50.

OTABILL,
I've thought about you a lot this holidays. I hope they went well! Sweet C and my thoughts are with you.

Thanks for the updates. Looking forward to a semblance of normalcy someday. LL The biggest booby trap out there is to sit too long at a machine has time wizards by. I try to stand at some of the machines and balance standing and sitting and taking walks in between. The Mrs. is kind of enjoying retirement but with Covid it’s virtually impossible to concentrate on other than staying safe and well. She really misses the kids but of course not the bureaucracy who does he he he. If you’re like me in our 70s and mentally 18, we have to be really careful on what we do and shouldn’t do physically. I was after my dad about that over the last 20 years and now I’m turning into him.😬 So fortunate compared to some of my classmates who are no longer with us quite a few actually. Everyone stay safe and well I hate to ask for anything beyond that. Nice to hear from everyone. Olds

olds,
this past trip I set my phone to go off ever 30-45 minutes and made myself get up and walk for 3-4 minutes. Seemed to help but the lack of quality sleep is the biggest issue. 3-4 hours during the night period doesn't cut it for long.

Stay safe. Stay warm. Win big!

I cannot wait to see that red box on my screen. Unless I take a dollar hiatus, my jackpot hand pay will be bought and paid for several times over.

FAA,
as most of us know that's the case in almost all cases, especially for us non-Vegas players who are stuck with lousy VP pay tables.

So, this was posted on our fav. casino Golden Nugget Lake Charles website. Lady on January 2, hits $800,000+ playing Buffalo Run. I"m playing the wrong game. Which also corresponds with my own experience, took a break to walk around and move from the recent back surgery. Down from VP is a penny slot game where a family of 4 has all 4 machines. Daughter has $37 in and hits bonus round, wins $150, a dozen hands later another bonus round and finishes with another $1,100+. I just turned a walked away. Maybe, I'm playing the wrong games. :D

Sleep? What’s that. I really have to work on it. Been a night owl forever. We have quite a bunch of nice guys and gals here on this site. Needless to say, we all have at least one thing in common. Too bad distance and thousands of miles separates us from get togethers. Never mind the virus! 😬. Stay safe, well, and try and stay happy all…. Olds….
