I thought I had seen otherwise, but I never remember where.

Looking back, there was a post here in September:

just because the machine has a placard suggesting no momentum dollar accrual does not mean that is entirely accurate. Once you have played every single machine, let me know what you discover. I'm certain you will be pleasantly surprised.
Then in December, someone on vpfree mentioned specific machines that "earn comps." At the bars, especially Sky, 25c 9/6 DDB 3/5/10 play, max bet 10 coins per line.

I realize that's not your ideal configuration, but it may be something to be aware of. Also mentioned were $1 denom slant tops 3/5/10 play, DDB/Airport Deuces/Joker Wild, scattered locations.

If you do find a placard error, it probably should be kept private.

The machines I noted a few months ago are still performing as expected.

Smoking will forever be part of the fabric, literally in casino furniture and fixtures and surrounding us.

Las Vegas Advisor believes a smoking ban is realistically possible:
• March 21, 2022 07:51 Atlantic City Smoking Ban Gains Steam: Two months ago at the end of its last session, the New Jersey Legislature failed to pass a law banning smoking in casinos, but this year, the bill has much more support. The 15 additional bipartisan Assembly members bring the count to 35 state legislators who have signed on to sponsor the measure, including the three representatives from Atlantic City. Proponents also include a coalition of casino workers and anti-smoking advocates and the governor says he'll sign any smoking ban that crosses his desk. Opponents, mainly the casino industry, argue that banning smoking will drive gamblers to Pennsylvania, but lawmakers in the Keystone State are considering a similar bill in this year's session. If the two states can get together and ban smoking in tandem, it would result in neither having a competitive advantage. It'll be interesting to see what happens -- and what effect smoking bans in the number-two and number-three gambling states might have on Nevada.

That's an innovative gambit. The states tag team it on smoking ban to leave the smokers out in the cold (or rain, sleet, etc.). Still, I won't hold my breath.
