Payback percentage at Indian casino

Let me say that I’ve never really trusted my closest (distance) casino. I rarely play Bonus Poker but tried it a couple weeks ago. I’m familiar with BP paytables so imagine my surprise when I looked closely and saw 8/5 BP, but pays only 5 coins for TWO PAIR........5 for J or better and 5 for two pair! I was shocked. I know that has to have a big influence on the game, but how much do you think? I ran from it. Now you know why no trust. Total greed.

I would have to see the entire pay table.
Most likely, the game pays more for Aces and low number quads, but it is quite likely in the 95 percent range. There is at least one game in the 99 range that pays 1 for 2 pair, but I doubt its this one. On the 99 game the flush pays 8 and the straight 5. I have never seen this game for real. If my casino had it I would play it. Full house is 12 for 1. I would almost bet money the one you describe is the 94/95 range version.

That would reduce the return from 99 to 86%, assuming no other changes. But it depends on the jurisdiction. I see "bama" in your user name. Alabama casinos are different because they're class II.

Thanks for the replies. This is in a Mississippi casino. I don’t play the ridiculous machines in Alabama. Olds....the rest of the pay schedule is “normal” such as no higher amounts on quads. Just 125, 200 and 400. RF 4000 and SF 250. To think I could be playing 86% payback is by far worst I’ve ever seen and seems like stealing money!

Yikes!! And I thought the 95 percent vp it must have been was bad. I can’t imagine what their slot payback percentage is.

Now I am really lost. What hands pay 200 and 400? That would be 40 for 1 and 80 for 1 assuming 5 quarters were bet.

Here's the lower half of the Bonus Poker page from Vpfree2:

I don't know how they decided what to include, but mostly they seem to list pay schedules that have been known to exist somewhere. Or maybe they list everything the manufacturer offers.

In Nevada, the worst I typically see is the 94.18 which cuts the 2pair but also boosts the fh/flush/str8.

At the Mississippi casino, maybe the slot tech was instructed to choose 92% payback. For Bonus Poker, the 92.54 is too high, which leaves only the 86.31 remaining.

Thanks got it. Since Bizarro world pulled 8/5 99.13 and 2 for 2 pair, I simply forgot. Miss that game. I could, but won’t play the 7/5 version on principle because they pulled the 99.13. At least I think ir was around 99.13 return long term

86 the 86. And 96 for that matter! I’ll be looking for 8/5 BP to resurface at Caesars. I love the renovation. We all need a shakeup. But I need those machines.

Thanks for these replies. After seeing this chart it appears my casino % is the 94.18. Still not very good. I’ll continue to call it greed.
