Recovered? Won? I don’t want to rub salt. But it was a -$200 trip when the dust settled, an astonishing reversal of fortune.

Now you're just showing off.

If I played that game, I would almost never hold the lonely joker.

I set up my trainer software to deal random hands always with a joker, and show me the recommendations. In 200 attempts, I got zero joker-only recommendations.

The only way I can see to get a JOR is a rainbow mix of extreme high and low -- 2/3/Q/K/A, and only some of those combinations will work.

Yes, I've been spending too much time with my trainer software. :geek:

Congratulations!
Yeah here is combo 201 for you. The straight flush possibilities have to be very hampered to want to hold Joker only like you expected.

Also it's easier to draw to quints by holding a card with the Joker. 1 in 17,296 versus 1 in 21,620.

But hitting a 1 in 21,620 draw twice in a ~month is pretty amazing! Congrats on the run Ted!

Interesting stats. Ultimately, the joke was on the player as HJ recouped its jackpot payout and more.

Well, it was a good run.
Santa - DOA.jpg

Went to Harrah's Joliet last night and got crushed. Nothing, NOTHING was hitting. I switched machines 4 times and nothing hit. My 3k vanished and I went on full-tilt, hit the atm for another 1.5k and poof!!!

I'm gonna back off for a while, I've got over 100,000 tier credits for CET.

After last night I'm giving serious thought to changing my screen name to an acronym of a US federal agency.

Just a temporary batter’s slump hopefully Ted.
I am hoping to shake mine off tonight. At this point, I will take a Texas League single. LOL

That's good progress. You're a little ahead of me, although I play lower stakes (higher volume). IIRC, I don't even have a w2g yet from a CET this year.

I hear rumors of expanded tier structuring at the top end. Presently they have three levels of Diamond, but officially only one level of Seven Stars (150k). They may formally establish new levels at milestones such as 250k, 500k or 1 milligram.
