just got back from vegas an hour ago.

for those who asked last month, The Orleans does indeed have good times pay machines. I didn't get a chance to see the pay schedules but I did see the machines.

Regarding big hits, see below:

Gold Coast
- hit four 2,3,4, with a,2,3,4 on triple double for $500

The Orleans (5 play double double bonus quarter level)
-hit a royal flush for $1,000
-hit two times: 2,3,4, with a,2,3,4 for $200 each
-hit four 2,3,4 at least 8 times for $100 each
-was dealt four 6's pat for $312.50

so overall, it was decent. i lost my shirt playing blackjack. (averaged about 75-125 a hand). was down a major sum of money and made it all back at 7 am this morning. had a great run in about 3 rounds of double deck play. thank god!

Sounds like a fun trip. Did you come out ahead overall on VP play?

Attaboy Vido, nice to know you got the shirt back as i'm sure it was chilly there. Hope you came out plus for your VP play. Better ahead or even up rather than "I lost my a$$" You sure pick some higher variance games though.

At best, I broke even at VP (but if i lost some, not too much). the machine i hit the royal on was the same machine i hit a royal on in the past.

I really didn't dedicate much time on this trip to vp. i slept only 1 hour the first 2 days combined and was at the blackjack tables the whole time and it was nasty. 2 different tables the dealer got 21 four times in a row and all but one of them was a draw-out.

would have left down over 3 grand if it were not for that last table at 7 am the day i left. It was the run I was waiting for the whole trip.

BTW, took advantage of all the free slot play. you download all the credits (on one or more machine) and they let you cash out what you win. And the free room at the Wynn was a MAJOR disappointment. My parents opted not to leave their room at the Venetian for it. and the Wynn was a ghost town.
