Meeting Shawdowman and winning

Shadow was nice enough to come to the casino and meet my husband myself on
our trip out west and give me some pointers on perfect play...He's quite a
gentleman and very knowledgeable.

Well, Shadow, my report: The triple play machine I was on when we met proved to be
quite a machine and I ran it up to $1185 before cashing out.  I never got the
Royal but just about everything else you could get......Quite a ride....I
implemented your fine tuning on straights and by just changing a few plays got a
lot more straights and a couple of straight flushes.  It does make a
difference.  I also paid closer attention to the pay tables.  I understand the
RNG much better now.

The highlight of our trip was at Red Rock where they had a promotional
called lightning strike.  They randomly  handed out $1000 every ten minutes on
machines for several hours....I got one on Sat night and actually had my picture
taken.  What FUN!!!  So I took money home from several nice machines and the
give away...All in all a wonderful time....

Thanks for the kind words and congratuations on your wins. I hope you enjoyed the nice weather I ordered for you as well.  It got a lot cooler today but is supposed to warm up again later this week for anyone coming out.

shadowman, thanks for the beautiful weather out there last weekend. This Chicago boy felt REALLY weird opening the sunroof on the rental car in the middle of January.  Ted.

We did hit a record (70) one day. Today it is mid 40s with rain showers and breezy.

Oh yeah, well I met shadowman too, ignored most of what he had to say, and lost. So it seems meeting him is not enough, you have to actually pay attention.

It's always a pleasure and I look forward to my next trip to Vegas, hopefully before he skips town again. I'd like to meet some other members too if the opportunity allows.

Well darn Shadow,  If I'd know you could conger up good weather I'd have
brought you back to Missouri.  We arrived home to 20 degrees and are now home
bound with ice on the roads  and more on the way.....Eduardo, pay attention!!!!!  LOL  Wouldn't it be interesting to set  a date for anyone interested to meet in Vegas at some pt...Why not????  A VP.com convention of sorts...Hummm...Think on that one.

We tried to get a bunch of members together for G2E last year, but only a few ended up making it. I will take any "maybe's" as a "no" next time until I see a plane ticket receipt.   For those who were unable to attend, we missed you and hope it works out this year. It's been great meeting some of our members. This year's G2E in Las Vegas is November 17-19, 2009. http://www.globalgamingexpo.com/Mark it down now and we'll see if we can do better. If we can get 10+ members to commit we can probably schedule a nice get-together for the whole group.

Webman please know I would love to get with you all in November. I will start saving some pennies and see if wife and I can make it.  Thanks for the early information!

The weather is usually fairly nice in LV in November (it was really nice this year) but it can occasionally get cool.

It was really nice (low 80s) when I was in Missouri this year (can I take credit?). Of course, it was September so that's not too much of a surprise.

When my wife and I travelled around the country a few year ago we often ran into freakish events (earthquakes, storms, etc.). Maybe that jinx has finally ended.
