Rolanddude's Trip

I'm glad you all had your fun at my expense while I was gone.  My trip was both enjoyable, relaxing, and profitable.  Below is a picture of the "real" me with my winnings before I checked out Monday at 2PM.  I ended up with a profit of $1,360.75.  I played only VP and I played my version of the RTT betting system.  I played single and double lined Super Times Pay Poker on 7/5 BP and 9/5 DDB @ .25 thru $2.  I earned 7382 base credits towards my total rewards "status" (that's a total of $73,820 bet on the machines.  I had 2 Royal Flushes (amazing for me) on my trip, Both at Caesar's.  I was ready to come home.  Six nights in Vegas wore me out.  I must have stayed up too late each night sitting and playing (not drinking alchohol because of my meds) at the Sports Bar in front of the "PURE" nightclub.  WOW!  I didn't know the girls all wear hardly anything when they go to that club.  I did use a VIP pass my hostess gave me to go in there one night.  All I can say is VEGAS BABY!!!The Terry Fator Show was Soooooo  Funny!!!  That man is amazing!!!  I laughed until my tear ducts were dry.  I didn't know that I could have taken pictures at and during his show with my own camera...THAT'S RARE!   He actually encourages it.  I didn't expect the show to be that good or that funny but HE WAS INCREDIBLE.  Simon Cowell was right in saying that he is definitely one of the most talented entertainers in the WORLD!!!The room was plenty spacious and comfortable for just me.Pretty sunrises every morning at around 4:30 AM were breath taking. The view from my room was awesome!!  I stayed in room 4561 in the Augustus Tower at Caesar's Palace for 6 nights...All comped of course!Sorry guys that I didn't zoom closer to see all the beautiful people sunbathing "Euro" style at "Club Venus" below my room! All in all I had a wonderful time!  I am glad that I was able to take a trip like this knowing that I might not ever get to again.  I go in Thursday morning to Shand's hospital at the University of Florida for an "unscheduled" follow-up.  They saw something in my CT scans from two weeks ago that they didn't like.  There are three little places coming up in my throat near my vocal chords.  Your thoughts and prayers are, as always, appreciated. Thanks,Joe

Hi rolanddude/Joe,

Looks like you had an awesome time!  Thanks for posting the pics, much appreciated. My husband and I honeymooned there last year but we didn't stay at Ceasars or Trump Towers or anything like that, it was the Tuscany Inn for us but I must say we had an absolute blast. Your pics make me wish we were back there right now!

I think receiving news such as you did regarding your health with more testing required is one of the most heart wrenching and stressful things a person and their  family can possibly go through. So here is my little part of sending very healthy thoughts and positive prayers out in the universe to you and your family.  I pray all goes well for you.

Hospital Update:Thanks everyone for all the positive thoughts and comments so far.  I went to the hospital today and they "scoped" my throat.  They found three lesions/polyps clumped together around the rim of my vocal chords.  They sedated me and took three biopsies of the affected area.   The doctors did not want to wait to take action on this because of my recent battle with lymphoma.  Hopefully it turns out to be nothing more than another unpleasant side effect from all the chemo I have already endured.  It hurts now to swallow, talk, breathe, etc.   I'm a mess! Again thanks for your nice posts.Joe
