What $ Goes to Vegas, Stays...

Back from our trip to Vegas. Stayed first at RR to celebrate Ms. L' Mother's Day. I have hit a RF at RR every previous trip so I was really excited. We played lots but no RF. Instead of my normal heavy play of the "Optimum Play 100%" I focused on multi-hand play. I have fallen in love with MH and we don't have the opportunity to play much MH higher denominations (5¢) so I wanted to focus on it while in Vegas. No RF, however; I hit AWAK on TDB for the equivalent of a RF. Our only decent hit at RR.
In reflection with less than a full day's play and with us spenting time trying out all of the new games we can't access here - Dream Card, Good Times Pay, Wheel, etc. just to enjoy the fun of playing them, I shouldn't be surprised we hit less.
Did watch two guys next to me kill Spin Poker at $45/$90 hand. Their pay offs on SDD and TDB were interesting. Down $2-3 thousand then a hand pay to go even or up. This went on for 3-4 hours. Saw one guy with 11 hand pays and in the RR high limit area the pay is immediate! The casino reps were almost standing next to them waiting to pay. The guy next to me had four payoffs for over $18K within an hour while I played MH next to him. Only In my dreams!
We then moved to the Palms and stayed there for the first time. Great corner suite with Strip View Since the Palms is the home of the Playboy Club and several other trendy clubs the "beautiful people" and "young wanna be" were frequently coming through. Then the real show began. The Palms was hosting the talent auditions for "America's Got Talent" show so for two days camera crews, contestants, and an assorted group of watchers/supporters streamed through constantly. Casino scenes were shot and re-shot. Staged groups (costumed in all fashions and non-fashion) rushing through the doors yelling and screaming and being filmed... the works. Hey the show was worth the price of admission, never had to leave my machine, and a good break from the boredom of playing VP.
Played tons of hours at the Palms. Ms. L played almost exclusively the 100% return but no great hits although she caught 2's/Ace on DWB twice. Meanwhile, I continued my attack on MH. Monday night I saw my only 4 to RF for the entire trip and caught one RF on a 5 hand of all things. Great timing! I couldn't catch it when playing 15-20 hands. My timing must have been off! Had a number of close calls... including 3 Aces on 25 hands of DDB and not one AWAK but 5 Aces. My timing must have been off! Three hands later one Ace = AWAK. Great timing! Played up the rest of the Palms trip and Ms. L finally succumbed to the MH curse because it was the only game where she was playing even to up.
So the trip overall was a great trip. Between the lack of sleep, lack of humidity, and lack of multiple major hits we were glad to come back but we sure had a great time. Can't figure out why I didn't schedule the Palms for this weekend. We would have missed the "America's Got Talent" auditions but they are hosting the "Playmate of the Year" finals this weekend. My timing must be off.
