Lake Charles the Trip

A couple of my better hits last weekend.
The rooms at the Isle were very nice. Clean and comfy.
The casino was a different story.
Perhaps I'm spoiled by Vegas but when you ask a bartender for a Manhattan and he looks at you and says "What's that" I started to worry.
I told him and he dug around under the bar and found an uncovered bottle of Sweet Vermouth. When he finished mixing, the drink looked like Expresso. My wife took a sip and spit it back in the glass and told the bartender that the vermouth was bad and could she just have a margarita. He said "No" you have to wait 15 minutes between drinks.
Not wanting to get thrown out, we just left the bar and moved on. Silly me at the next bar we went to I ordered a Vodka Martini or just Vodka on the rocks. I got a glass full of ice and what looked like to be about half a shot in it. We're not big drinkers but it would be nice to get a decent sized drink. Oh and forget about calling a Brand.
Machines were good, clean and maintained. But they need more multi-denomination machines. All the bar tops were 0.25 and you really had to hunt to find a $1. machine.
I don't want this to sound like a b***h fest. We had some fun and most of our fellow gamblers were the tops. The Isle just needs a little upgrade in their food and beverage area.
Thanks to LuckyLarry for all the info and the great I10 detour.
