Been staying away for a while.  Too many losing streaks, time for a break.  So this weekend Harrah's offered me 10x rewards points plus a boatload of freeplay so i decided to stop down for some R&R.  Here's what happened.

I met a guy this weekend that likes to play STP and I was telling him that I've never had a dealt royal in what must be at this point, millions of hands of VP. I was saying that I'll probably get one when I'm sitting at a nickel machine. He pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of 10 handed STP dealt royal on you guessed it, nickels. He's usually a high denom player and told me he was totally devastated. It's the nightmare hand as far as I'm concerned.

The one pic there that I thought must have hurt was the 8X $1, dealt trip 4's, and not one quad.

Yes, that definitely hurt. I was happy to see a hand pay, but when I looked at it again, I was thinking, now that could have been some coin. have to shrug it off.

Saw literally dozens of pairs of aces and only on 1 or 2 occasions did anything happen, and only without the kicker. most of the time I was lucky to get even money. Some trips are just like that.

Yeah - and I counted 5 of the ten hands had a kicker, but no fourth 4.

I was thinking the same thing with the trip 4s and no quad pulled. Only thing I'll add is that pulling the royal only holding an ace with a 4x kind of makes up for it.

  Also don't overlook the trip kings at $1.00 denomination and a 10X multiplier showing, too bad the 4th king couldn't fall for you there either roveer. Great hits anyway you look at them, congrats.
