Now I know this is rare....

Played up at Mohegan Sun last night splitting my time with Deuces Wild, JOB, and the new Asian machines. At some point during the night on the job game, I was dealt a straight flush. The following dealt hand was another straight flush in a different suit. I can almost guarantee that will never happen again. The closest I ever came to this was a dealt straight flush followed by 4 of a kind I drew to many years ago. I didn't do the math on the back to back dealt straight flushes, but the probability has to be millions to one.

Nice! I've been dealt one straight flush myself, hoping to get a dealt royal someday.

olds, getting back to back Straight Flush IMO seems harder than BTB RF.

The odds of that happening on back to back hands is indeed extremely rare.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker_probability
States the odds of a straight flush from a 5 card deal is 1 in 72,192 hands.
Back to back will be 72,192 * 72,192 = 5211684864
So given 2 dealt poker hands, it is 1 in 5.2 billion occurances. Straight flushes in most video poker games pay roughly 250 credits (500 for Joker Poker and 45/50 in Deuces Wild), but play that at a table game Carribean Stud, Let It Ride, or Mississippi Stud, you'd take home thousands of dollars.
Playing 1000 hands will represent 999 "back to back" hands. Must play 3.6 billion hands to get at least a 50% chance of that happening.

I thought the time I got back to back natural four a kinds of the same number suit was rare, back to back dealt straight flushes is way beyond unlikely. I guess if you play enough video poker just about anything is possible.

I just got:
4 spades, 5 diamonds, J hearts, 2 Clubs, A Clubs (no win)
followed by:
2 spades, 7 spades, 9 hearts, 4 hearts, 3 diamonds (no win)
The odds of getting these exact hands back to back is even harder than two consecutive straight flushes! Anyone know the odds?

This just shows that you can never predict these machines.
