Bob, please lend your vast experience and understanding to this topic and help clarify or dispel any incorrect or inaccurate understanding of how things work, vis-a-vis Casino regulatory bodies and oversight;  In other words HOW DO THE CASINO GAMING AUTHORITIES (or Commissions) do what they do (and when)?Specifically, what is your understanding of how often do casinos in Vegas and the rest of Nevada (as well as any other regions or markets you know) get Audited, or "Checked out"?   What does that entail exactly?    How often is any given video poker machine actually checked or audited, and when a video poker machine is in fact "Audited" what does that involve (i.e.  WHAT specifically is done or checked?)   I hope you can provide at least a little light on this.......coming from you, any info on this matter would carry the greatest weight and authority.   Thanks. 

The thread title sounded harsh and dismissive. Just an observation!

Speaking strictly for my state, Colorado, we have 24 separate gaming "rules" covering everything from General Rules and Regulations to Rules for all games - Live Poker, Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Gaming Devices and Equipment (Slots and VP machines). Each of those 24 rules contain specific responsibilities for the Gaming Commission, casino employees, vendors, etc.
I'm sure other states have similar rules. I believe ours were based on Nevada's.
