Refuse to Lose (as much)

That's been my motto for the last few years and it seems to be working okay for now. I love to play the game but I had to find a way to control the cost. My first run at this turned out real bad. I decided I would continue to play as much as I ever did but I would drop denomination played down to $1 and only play a game that had 99.58% payback percentage. I was destroyed playing that strategy, the good hits never came, I kept hoping and expecting them to but it didn't happen. What I'm doing now is working much better, problem is it requires that I don't step foot in any casino for different lengths of time. I'm still playing $1 denomination but I'll set a few dollars to the side to dedicate to playing, when it gets to a certain level I go play. If I lose that bankroll I don't go back until I build that bankroll back up. I'm still getting to play a lot of vp because I've had some good hits this year which allowed me to use more of their money. I was on a pretty good roll but hit a rough streak and busted the bank so it's now been almost a month since I've played. Got my playing money built up again and am getting ready to play again, if I go bust I'll just walk away until the bankroll builds up for the next charge. I'll still wind up a loser but nowhere near where I've been in the past. My free offers have pretty much dried up, no more trips to Reno, Laughlin or Vegas but I did get an offer to see a show for free, it was an Elvis impersonator, I turned that offer down.
