Jean(The Queen of Comps") Scott's new book is out.
It's a literal bible for those seeking information on players clubs and looking to exploit casino promotions.
This is the fourth book of hers I own and while she does tend to dumb down her material, it still is very informative.

I'm not into reading books like this, especially ones that have been dumbed down and as a result are about as interesting as a sack of potatoes. Can you perform a small, basic community service and distill it down to one or two all-important principles or points that she strongly urges in the current casino climate of getting less and less and less while paying more and More and MORE....?

I'm sorry, but Jean puts a lot of work into her books and as it is brand new, revealing the secret sauce would take money out of her pocket.
Besides, everyone has different levels of knowledge and interest. A section I might find useful might be a waste to others and vice versa.
I must say I'm surprised by your attitude about reading and learning new things.

I must say I'm surprised by your attitude about reading and learning new things.Oh....well nice to know I can surprise someone as well read and overflowing with knowledge on just about everything and everyone, as you seem to be. I'm also impressed with your concern for the financial well being of Jean Scott. If I didnt know better, i'd have said five minutes ago that you probably don't give a rats arse for the financial well being of an already wealthy old lady who achieved that wealth by doing nothing except gamble, and instead you'd refuse to answer such a relatively benign and innocuous question simply becase you get off on being an argumentative pr*ck. My bad.....Secret sauce my arse....

An artist or a writers livelihood depends on people paying for their works. I respect Jeans work and think she is entitled to get compensated for it. I'm sorry you don't agree.
As I said, what I find informative, you might already know, and vice versa. If you have read everything she has written in her books and her columns, there will be a bit of new information in this book. If you are a casual reader of hers, there will be more. If you aren't familiar with her, its a treasure trove.
Go fight with someone else. I've better things to occupy my limited free time.
By the way- how much money do you think a writer earns by writing a book on such a niche subject as frugal gambling?
I don't think its nearly enough to make someone wealthy.

GahhhhhH! I don't want to fight! I want the secret sauce! If she isn't making THAT much money, then who cares....you said it yourself, its not the source of her wealth.....Actually I just realized, I dont really care either way. Thanks anyway, for pointing out the existence of this not too exceptional book. I only know this woman from TV ..... I'd rather read THE GUNS OF AUGUST or A BRIEF DISCUSSION OF TIME......I just finished the outstanding 3 Days in January, about President Eisenhower's final days in office. Amazing history lesson.....

In a nutshell - get a player's card. Look at the pay tables for whatever you're playing.
For slots - the more reels there are, the harder it will be to hit a jackpot.
For VP - know your math
and, of course, never take more than you're prepared to lose.

You guys crack me up. I however agree with the "Master". Especially since I have seen Jean posting to various groups to gather their knowledge so she can type it up and make some money off of it. I for one am not looking for a casino where I can get a free t- shirt. I am looking at paytables, comps and how I am treated. If I don't think I am treated as a valuable patron - I move on.
