Unexpected Royal

You could say that all royals are somewhat unexpected, but i just had probably the most surprising one ever (at least, for me).
I was playing this weeks' weekly game. It's called Super Draw 6 card poker. I drew to a pair of aces, one of which was the ace of diamonds. My draw cards were the king, queen, jack, and ten of diamonds!
You just never know what's going to happen in this crazy game.

That's for sure, but that said, congrats on the Royal. . Sometimes I feel like waiting for one is like having a bad tooth and your dentist tells you the next appointment to take care of it was at least 3 months away.

You think a royal flush is hard to get nowadays, try getting four aces with or without a kicker. It’s like a national virus to all vp players. It has been so bad, sometimes I want to play other games in the casino.

Congrats on the pull! That was a sweet fill in!
You study up on Alpax's strategy though?

Where is Alpax? @Alpax
I've always enjoyed his new game write-ups, even if it is for a game I will never play.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen him comment on Dancer's articles lately. Usually he was among the first to comment.

You study up on Alpax's strategy though? I have to confess that I haven't, though I am both fascinated and appreciative of the work he puts into developing them.
I play what I call the gimmick games, with one exception, only for fun on this site, and I sort of wing it on strategy. That one exception is quick quads with wheel poker, which I play on my infrequent visits to South Point. I do have a strategy for that one.

My most unexpected Royal came when I threw everything away on the first hand and was dealt a Royal on the draw. Freaked me out.

I always count my unexpected Royals before my expected Royals since i seen/held hands like 4RF on 100 hands and not a one hitting.

Hit 2 Royals within 3 hours of each other at Winstar Casino. Only happened to me once before in Biloxi.
