Today was just one of them days where I held my own for much of the day and then down we go. Down to my last $50 of $500 I change over to Pick em poker.I played a few hands on this game over a year ago and last Sunday saw a guy hit a four of a kind for 500 coins. I like to hit up BDLX for that last pot shot on my way out the door for that $400 hit on a $5 bet. I feel like its do or die I am going to be out $500 or get it back on a lucky hit.DW and BDLX have bailed me out many times this year. Today it was Pick em. I don't know much about the game, started at $2.50 bets then raised it to $5 bets and well held my own till bingo four 3's! played  down to $500 playing jacks and BP should have stuck with pick em. Gave back $125 I was ahead and left even.Got home and looked up some odds on this game. WOW that was a lucky four of a kind! 1 in 2,361 Think I will stay clear of this game but what a lucky hit it was.Here are some more odds to this game. Royal Flush

Nice hit! Love Pickem! Just hard to find a good paytable. I played a good amount of it in 2003 when harrahs STL offered the 99.95% version for quarters, but I went quadless. :( At least they offer 99.24% for you.

Eventually I snagged a quad on that game for quarters in Vegas at Fremont in 2014.

Vman we have this game on 20 coin Bally machines for .05,.25,$1.... I looked up the pay table today was in the mid 96% not good. Could one play that system like Olds start with 5 coins and work your way up till the 4 of a kind hit to get you even?

Playing correctly on a 96% game over time will give you 96% of your money back. Even less back if you are making playing errors. Betting nickels, and then quarters, and then halves, and then dollars won't change the 96% figure.I'm surprised that you even consider "getting even" to be a major goal when going to a casino. You had that before you went in the front door!
