So I decided to take refuge from the current Chicago heat at Harrah's Joliet last night, I stuffed a few bucks into my wallet and off I went. Upon arrival I sat down at a familiar machine and began play. The machine was eating my money faster than returning any decent hits so I threw caution to the wind and changed machines. This was an adaptation of a strategy I recently heard about here, the FloridaPsychic Strategy, or FPS for short. The FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) told me to move to a different machine RIGHT at the exact moment I did and I took the exact amount of time as specified by the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) getting from one machine to the other.

Because of the beating I took at the first machine I lowered my play from $1.00 denomination to .50 denomination. This was NOT a deviation from the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) because that Strategy only tells when to INCREASE units wagered at the EXACT moment it needs to be increased and not when to decrease. I was playing Deuces Wild Bonus and playing 10 hands I was dealt 5 3's for a 1k payoff. The hand was comprised of 3 deuces but I figured the 1k was a bird in the hand and didn't go for the 4th deuce.

Because of this sudden increase in bankroll I then employed the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) and at the exact right time I increased BACK to $1.00 denomination. A few hands later I was dealt 3 to the royal and feeling the kinetic energy from my FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) I pressed draw and filled in the royal for a very sweet 4k royal.

After getting paid off I decided to set a loss limit of the remaining 1k from the 5 3's. Again, using the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FPS) I jettisoned the Deuces Wild Bonus game and at the EXACT moment and switched to TDB. Three hands later I was DEALT quad Queens for a very nice 2.5k handpay. Now I was doing the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FSP) Happy Dance.

I played for about another hour and after giving some back I decided to call it a night. I left the casino very happy.

I owe last nights luck all to the FloridaPsychic Strategy (FSP) and I for one, am a believer. I have pictures if anyone doubts me but I failed to take one of the 5 3's. The pictures were not taken by Matthew Brady.

nice story with nice result, i just play 100% plus games either by paytable or progessive or comp points same as i write options on the market as thats the biggest edge and just tough out the swings as they are part of the game of life

Congratulations. I'd obviously take 222JJ too, playing it safe and raking in the hit.
I've been seeing a lot of 3 to RF and 4 to F hands in JOB. How would you navigate those? I hate that dilemma hand, but I always keep 4F.

Ted,  I see you have decided to give me the "DaBurglar treatment".   Unlike you, I don't win all the time.  There is no such thing as a winning VP strategy.   Someone writes a book telling players they can beat the casinos, and the dreamers eat it up.   When they lose, they go back for book number two.  When that doesn't work, they go to classes in the very casino that's taking their money.  Hard to believe, but it's true.When someone like me comes along and tells the emperor he's naked, all hell breaks loose.   How dare some old guy from Florida utter what we've all been thinking?  I am not the first person on this forum to say these things and I won't be the last.I play like I do because I like it, not because it's in a book or it's popular.   I'm just a guy that tells it like I see it.  I know this bothers a few people on this forum, but I can only sit here and stand so much crap before I am forced to respond.   If you want to challenge me to a duel of words, go ahead.  I think I probably have more time to play those games than you do.   I'm on the computer all day making money.   Dropping by this forum is my way of taking a break.  I haven't had a decent nemesis since Bill Ryan.  I just hope you are better at Irish limericks.  

Thanks CBK and FAA for the kind thoughts. FAA if you think I'm picking on you its only meant to try and get you to change your habits if you want to win when playing video poker.

To Phil, whatever do you mean? Wasn't it you who recently stated that a person needs to continue to change strategies until they find one that's right for them? That's all I was reporting on.

As for getting into a duel of words with you, I know my limitations and that's all I'm going to say about that. Sorry that I couldn't make an Irish rhyme to state that. Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral.

FAA it's a hard pill to swallow when not filling in a royal flush, no matter how many cards you need. You just have to take those in stride and keep up the good fight. You and I have different playing styles (I never play JOB and I play multi-hand) so it may be a bit more difficult when playing single hand and not filling it in.

Congrats Ted on the success.Surprising that some call "sour grapes" on a strategy that clearly "worked for you."  Well, considering the established inconsistency of the critic in sticking to one side of a coherent story, I guess it wasn't all that surprising.  Which part of the story do you suppose offended him?  Was it that you were betting dollars and halves rather than nickels or single line quarters?  Was it that you didn't lose like many of his anecdotes seem to indicate when bigger stakes were involved?On a different subject, maybe you can answer a conundrum for me.  What does it mean when an unclothed, blind commoner guesses that the emperor is naked?   And won't take the word of the sighted that his guess is offbase?  Does the answer involve obnoxious levels of repetition?  Or criticism of those that tried to help him understand?  Just wondering.  And will the commoner ever put clothes on?  Or will he just keep strutting around convinced that others should see him as well-dressed?The money and tale of game-switching of course is nice and interesting,
but I particularly enjoyed the reference to Dexys Midnight Runners.
