I have to wonder who’s at the helm?

One would think running $2 million through their machines a year would leave me a basic mid week small room not tonight. And I have been checking for the last several weeks. So I made the short 15 minute extra trip to Foxwoods. I am enjoying a shrimp cocktail, nice dinner, and have a comp room waiting for me. I haven’t even played yet but I will . Even if Mohegn sells the room they would’ve given me for 300 bucks, I have my usual bank roll on me and if I have an off night, they will get it all. I really think more and more at the casinos have it in for a video Poker players.I forgot to add the pistachio martini and double espresso for dessert. Based on the above if I leave here -200 bucks I will be thrilled

hey car , u r knocking me off my 1700 calorie diet ! I eat any thing I want but keep calorie intake at or under 1700 calories. it works great but no matter what u eat , 1700 calories is not a lot of food.remember liquor has 7 calories per gram. almost as much as fat at 9 calories per gram !!

Yep.....3500 calories is a pound anyway you look at it. Luckily, I only sipped the drink, and took 2 bites of the cake. Ate the strawberries of course. My diet is 1400 to 1600. The sodium when eating out is brutal unfortunately.

yea ,1700 a day and the body fat goes away ! I am now apx 250 lbs not all fat since I do some strength training. I need apx 2700 cl a day to maintain co 1700 causes a 1000 cl def a day, 7000 cl def a week so a 2lb loss of body wt per week.the wt comes off since nothing else is possible.the problem is as with most people is once its off to maintain the loss by keeping in take at 2700 calories. ican easily take in 8000 calories in one day so when u have my sort of appetite its very tough !

How much do you think a two million dollar a year is worth to the casino? If you play decent games decently, at most they have a 2% edge. Lets be generous and say you are worth $50,000 a year to the casino.
You expect to be able to go once a week, get a free room and a nice meal or two. If you were paying cash, it might run you $500. So the casino can meet your expectations and still make a nice profit. But increase your trips to 75 a year and suddenly your value diminishes greatly.
If you think casinos treat VP players bad, try comp counting blackjack these days.

That is a good analysis and quite accurate. Still, lately the casino is selling rooms to convention people almost all of whom are non players. So based on your example, the average take from me is 667 per day. I doubt very much they charge the convention people more than 200 or so per night. Even if they spend another 100 or so on food and sundries per day, they make more from me. Since I earn no spendable points, they don’t lose out on expensive meals. The free food vp players get is buffet fare, worth at most at retail 50 bucks a day. Whatever, its their business and their decision. All of us vp players got together and are protesting in various ways, all of which are going to cost them big bucks over time. They are already bleeding around 5 percent per month profits month after month. Imo, the caliber of patrons who play the penny machines will run out of money and quit faster than vp players will. They are mostly locals. I see. many many of them going unplayed now.

Yes, great analysis. They are surely analyzing your comp usage rate, which seems well beyond that of the standard $50,000 annual MS victim. Thus, they slammed the brakes on the gravy train.
