I was playing this 97 percent quarter game last night. I had been clobbered earlier in the evening on dollar Bonus Deuces Wild draw poker. The deuces never showed. As often is the case, I played this game toward the end of the evening, betting only enough to be about even if I was dealt quad deuces. They did come in just in time thank goodness. However, the greedy state was right there hoping for their 7 percent or so for the state income tax. By right there, I knew it was pay me now or pay me later. I had the casino withhold it rather than be way short next April.

How did you figure out the strategy for this game or how much it was worth?

Most deuces games give you your money back for neither a pair of kings or better nor two pair. I, for one, would have only a very sketchy idea how to play this game accurately.

On a hand like deuce and a suited A35, for example, that straight flush draw becomes more valuable than a deuce and a suited 567 because the deuce ace combination is a high pair and you get your money back --- at least. In other deuces variations, deuce 567 would be MUCH more valuable than deuce A35. Whether deuce A35 would be more valuable than just holding the deuce ace, I'd need to think about. Your pictures don't show the entire pay schedule and I don't know of any commercially available software where you can analyze this game.

First, thanks Ted for fixing the photo I have to learn how to do it. For Bob, the poor photo doesnt really show that this is a DDS game. So, as you know the strategy is really easy. Because the return is only around 97 percent, I only play it as a last resort when bankroll for the session has been all but busted. For this session, I bailed out on my 800 for bet one Bonus Deuces Wild dollar game. I was just very lucky to hit this. The gane I bailed on is just under 99 percent

Double Down Stud is indeed easy to figure out strategy-wise.

A Martingale betting progression has you betting MORE when you're losing. Here you are betting LESS. Why do you call it a Martingale?

I call it a Martingale clone because when I get down a certain amount playing the normal Martingale way, I switch to a game such as this and only bet enough to be about even if one of the premium hands hits. In this case I was out from the other game over a thousand bucks. It is just a last ditch attempt to recover knowing that a Dealt Royal, quad deuces with an ace, or dealt deuces like here, bring me back to square one or better. 5 aces would have put me in decent shape too. Of course it is a long shot and long term I pay a penalty for switching from a nearly 99 percent game to a 97 percent one. I just enjoy playing this way. I usually only budget the remainder of that sessions bankroll which in this case was less than 200 bucks. Most of the coin in by far for the session would have been at the 98.8 or so return level.

Sometimes this happens at the beginning of the session while you’re playing martingale clone. Note the tiny bet. Up to hundred bucks in 15 minutes if I was smart I would quit now at least they took a break for dinner I’m at Foxwods I’ll write later on what happens
