What are the odds?

Post by wildman49 »

I been playing a whole lot of NSUD as of late. Yesterday played 5700 hands. I had 3 deuces off the deal 11 times. I bricked on every redraw. What is the odds of missing that many times? I know there are some of you out there with good math skills.

I love the game but yesterday was very very frustrating!
Took a pretty bad beating.

Well it’s 1 in 23.5 to get a quad deuce if u are dealt with 3 deuces. The chance of failing 11 times without a quad deuce is about 62%.

This happens to me when I am dealt with many 3 aces on TDB...but good luck!

I make it about a 62% likelihood of going 11 trip draws in a row without hitting the quad. It's not really a long shot, at all.

If it makes you feel any better (probably it won't), I've gone 10 consecutive draws to trips playing 10 line JOB without getting a quad.

Wildman, that has been happening to me too. Even worse, I am playing Bonus Deuces and when I need the last Ace for 5 Aces, I just can’t seem to land it. Even a deuce or Ace would complete the hand. Anyway, good luck. Things have been so cold at my 2 Ct casinos, I have been playing nickels. I probably should just stick with them, but I know eventually, I won’t.

as hop pointed out , its 23.5 to 1 against. 11 tries and missing is only about 2 to 1 ! why is that so unusual? !!! ????

I know I'm being "picky" here, but, one in 23.5 is actually 22.5 against.

Yes, either 22.5 to 1 or 23.5 for 1, I guess.

2/47 is better notation.
