Machine malfunction ends OK

Post by olds442jetaway »

I already knew in advance the answer the slot attendant would give me. I put a $100 bill in a machine and was trying to get the video poker menu. The calibration was so far off that when I hit more games it dealt 80/4 from some keno game I knew nothing about. At that point I just waited and flagged down an attendant. Of course she told me that I bet 80 quarters and I had to play the hand out. I told her that I have never played a game of Keno in my life and play between 10,000 and 40,000 hands a week of video poker at their casino. She called a slot attendant manager for me and as soon as he poked around hitting the glass on the machine he could tell the calibration was way off. He told me which I agreed to and thought it was fair that I should play the hand out and however short the 80 coin bet was, the casino would pay me the difference. Of course I had to agree to give back to the house anything the hand produced over 80/4. After about 10 minutes of him playing with touching the glass, he was able to get the machine to start/deal. It ended up only returning 40/4 of the 80 and he instructed the original slot attendant to go get a $10 bill for me which she did. He then proceeded to re-calibrate the machine for me and stayed there while I got to my menu that I wanted ( joker kings). He was very nice, polite, and apologetic. This was at Foxwods so all was well that ended well.
