In my case, in long term too. How would you like to be under Royaled by 40 percent after over 20 million lifetime hands with very few mistakes made in strategy. So that begs the question.... what is long term? I have always said it is something approaching infinity. By the way, not that this is unheard of but it has been about 3,300,000 hands since a dealt royal in August 2016.

So, let me get this straight. We should mistrust the actual evidence of your wins vs your coin-in, and instead follow the accepted theory that losing is absolutely guaranteed?
Perhaps you are right? I'll add a little $5 CS play and report back. Pot shots are not my regular play. You could say all hands accumulate lifetime, but there is a distinct difference. Unless you do them all the time, pot shots are extreme short term play. If you do them frequently, you are playing above your bankroll.

CS, as much as it has been maligned on this forum, provides a way to play above your bankroll without risking your bankroll. If you play any negative machine, you will lose long term because the negative odds will reverse your wins. The bigger you play, the more you lose. If you set low coin-in limits and have the discipline to stick to them, you slow the bleeding. Few $5 players are going to walk out of the casino the minute they hit a single coin quad deuce or a royal. I don't walk out, I go back to quarter play.

CS, pot shots, lucky shirts, rabbit's feet and whatever all fall into the realm of shot term. Anything can happen short term. Professional players don't rely on such things. Recreational players like me do because it makes the game more entertaining.
