as one who has gone to casinos for nearly 15 years, an ex smoker and has gone recently under new mandates, i can attest that for those who want to avoid smoke, there has never been a better time to go.

-far fewer people
-equals far fewer smokers
-everyone wearing a mask
-pain in the ass to keep removing mask to smoke or drink, so folks do less of each.
-at least 6 feet between machines. that means a 3 machine row, no one else.

now, if folks are just plain afraid of going, or it is not the same, that is another story.
I was disappointed to learn that our home property Horseshoe BC is still allowing smoking. This would have been a great time to implement a NO SMOKING policy. As an ex smoker there are times when a smoker moves in and lights up nearby it becomes so difficult to breath that I have to get up and take a break for a while. Not to mention it would be much easier to keep the casino clean without smoking. We always get a non smoking room but sometimes after a night of gaming our clothes from the night before reek of smoke so bad you would think we were in a smoking room.

You make some valid points. Unfortunately, here in Arizona there are a number of mitigating factors. Many of the local casinos are small with old, ineffective, ventilation systems. Most are still allowing smoking. The combination means that even with fewer players as I have encountered many times during the wee hours overnight, the smoke doesn't dissipate. This is particularly true at Fort McDowell where I prefer going. Secondly, there have been large crowds initially showing up at most of the casinos that have reopened resulting in significant waiting time outside. Standing in 100+ temperatures with a strong sun is not appealing. Now we have a new problem, a statewide curfew from 8:00 pm until 5:00 pm for the next week. Going to and from a casino is not one of the exceptions. Having just lost my wife who was my casino buddy is unique to me. If really motivated, I could overcome these circumstances. As a side note, the new Fort McDowell casino opening in the fall will address the ventilation and other issues.

I have a feeling they are going to get extremely busy people have been cooped up so long and with the social distancing between machines they may run out of the machines that people want to play will have to see. If all goes well and there are no further catastrophes with the terrorists, I plan to go back up this Wednesday and might even stay over I just got an email from them a few minutes ago in addition to the generous $300 free play for the month of June they are also giving me $100 in perk points which is good for anything at the casino I will probably spend most of it on gasoline maybe for a burger and a beer a couple of restaurants are open for now.

I actually went back Tuesday and stayed overnight. It was a real pleasure. First class job in cleaning, protocols, and even the tv remote was in a sanitized bag. Staff were friendly and glad to be back and the patrons I saw were behaving. The best thing was no smoke. The lounge had a nice limited menu and tables were spaced out. You were either served or took food in sealed plastic containers. Also I was thrilled to find 9/6 job quarters still available. Plenty of sanitizing stations and dispensers and wipes available. I don’t have a bad word to say about the operation so far

Just a follow up note on my play. Working on a mild 9/6 job progression. Worst case scenario is I lose 236 bucks if I lose 3 straight bets at bet 25 quarters after progressing to that level. So far up 300 in each trip with no Royals, few quads. The better hands hit with the larger bets in. If I make it through ten straight sessions without losing 236 bucks, I will post the details. Lots of fun and it takes the boredom out of job. The best hand was just before I went home. A low card straight flush in clubs with 16 quarters bet. That one hand was good for 200 bucks Forgot to mention...it is a Martingale Clone progression so it will lose at some point. When it loses is the key.

I don't want to repost here the same thing, so please go to the Strategy forum and read my expansive post under Las Vegas casinos reopening thread. It describes what we discovered about purported sanitizing and cleaning at the M Casino resort in Vegas.

Just got back from Horseshoe BS and had a good time. Protocols still in place but did not see rooms being sprayed or quarantined for 24 hours (Inspected & sealed). Disappointing if they are forgoing that measure now. No problem with smoke

I am in New Orleans and Harrah's New Orleans has reopened to 25 percent capacity. But I'm wondering what it is like in Las Vegas, particularly in Henderson casinos like Green Valley? Has anyone been there?
