They don't know that.

This up and down mask stuff is getting old fast. I would even stick with the TITOs and blow off the change, but those damn machines are loathe to dispense hundreds. No good option. I heard today on the radio someone relate that a $6.08 7-11 purchase was rounded up to $7!

Part of our dinner discussion tonight. We've ran into the same type issue. My youngest daughter said she almost thought she was about to get a free drink at fast food drive through heading to work a the hospital the other day for giving the cashier 23¢ in change-mainly pennies. The girl was so appreciative she thanked her multiple times. Heck our Credit Union is offering $5 for bringing $50 in change. Nice investment - the grandkids "pocket change piggy bank" is probably going to be raided.

Reminds me when people, including my parents, were turning in silver coins because of the then very high price for silver.

Home casino gives $10 in FP for $50 in change. Silver up to $27 range again. Cashed half my hoard at $45
years ago. Should have dumped it all, invested right it would be equivalent to $90.

Still gave my paper route silver coins. Was taught years ago about saving. The family also still has the Barber dimes and quarters and some Standing Liberty coins from when my Grandfather ran a gas station in the 1920s. Going back further, we have a few Civil War era coins my Great Grandfather had saved. Finally, when I bought my house in 1974, I went around the tiny 50/100 lot with my metal detector. Found over 4 bucks in silver coin. Have that too. When you hear stories of from the horses mouth meaning our parents and what they went through in the Great Depression, you become a saver for life.

Does anyone remember going through 50 dollar bags of supposedly unsearched wheat cents. You would order them abd they would arrive by freight truck in the 1950s abd 1960s. My brother and I would pool our saved birthday money from several years and order a bag. Spent many rainey days going through them. Didn’t even need a magnifying glass back then. We would grade and catelog our finds and turn the rest of the pennies at the bank. All of this started around 1959 after the last wheat cent was struck in 1958. We would find a few Indian head pennies in there too. The last one of those was made in 1909. The best coin I ever found was when I had my tv guide route. A 1909 s mint penny in fine condition. Now if I could find a way to relate this story to masks required , I would. Actually, I can. I don’t like the cloth masks and wear the paper ones. Howecer, be careful. Masks can cause things called pressure ulcers. I know first hand about those. Also, I wonder about the chemicals in them leaching into yiur skin and blood stream. Of course, they are all made in you know where..... CHINA. I have quite a few slightly used ones for emergencies. Just leave them in the sun for a day. Every time you walk into Mohegan Sun, they hand you a new one if you aren’t wearing one.
