Comps down despite virus!!

Post by tech58 »

Soaring Eagle in MI. has reduced comps even though virus concerns have caused many people to cut back on casino trips.
Ratings for Aug. based on two months of virus build-up and one month they were closed for half the month.
Next trip Mon. the hosts and their supervisor will hear from me.
Rotten enough deal to cause me to cut way back.

Many casinos are dealing with greatly reduced occupancy so comps are adjusting lower and table minimums are higher.

A rotten deal is just that and players will not forget it!!
Their welcome back invitation mailing stated specifically that they were carrying everything related to tier credits and comps over until end of year. Early New Years hatchet job?
BTW i could not give a fluck less about their financial "hole".
What they are doing to their top players will only dig it deeper.

They are doing the same in Ct. In the week following the opening they were generous to suck me back in which of course worked. Now my free room offers have completely dried up, free play is down to 15 bucks a couple of times a week, and they have added some useless ten buck free gift offers. My punishment is the usual. I normally go every Sunday, Wed, and then Friday with the Mrs. Not going tonight and in fact cancelled my free room as the offers going forward have disappeared. Instead, I’m doing a couple of extra miles down at the beach. They also lost the business tonight of my friend who was going to go and only plays 100 dollar slots for 6 or 8 hours at a time several days a week. Their free play offer to him was 40 bucks. So guess where is headed? Of all places MGM Springfield which just opened. They offered him 1400 bucks a week free play now through the end of September. And I don’t want to hear any bull from them about lost revenue. Their June revenue exceeded June from last year even with non smoking for now and only certain restaurants and machines open.

Right before the lock-down I was getting $100 week from the local. I still had several more weeks of pick-ups on the mailer when they closed. I got an email from the CEO saying that once they reopened, offers would be the same as before.

Well, when they finally did reopen, my offers sank to $10 a week. :x
