A couple of good ones!

Post by olds442jetaway »

I took the hour and five minute drive up to Mohegan Sun just for the Mystery Free Play only to find out it was only fifteen bucks. Not a happy camper, I added two of my own hundreds and played about six hours. I was using a new version of Martingale Clone that I will only use on Airport Deuces. Like always, if I have a dozen or so consecutive good trips, I will post the method. This is only trip number one, but after the second quad Deuces, I didn’t hesitate a bit and drove home after a quick bite in the lounge

Who needs free play when you have luck on your side. Good job of making them pay for insulting you with such a low free play offer. You are on quite a run. Hope it continues for you.

Thanks. Yes good runs, but don’t want to bore the gang with the negative trips which are about equal. Think I am roughly even since June 1. Guess that’s a win in the world of vp. One thing I have noticed is that the streaks are very long in the cold cycles. Winning short cycles seem to be compressed together. Speaking of insults, all of my free room offers have disappeared after the next couple of weeks. That will mean short trips and drive home or no trips at all. I hold the top tier card they call Soar at Mohegan Sun and as you guys can see, am at least a 3 day a week player. What ever happened to rule number one in casino theory? Keep them playing..... we all know what happens in the long run. If we stay, we pay. At the casino 15 minutes away at Foxwoods, I hold the Platinum card, the second highest one. My offers from them are absolutely zero, so they are getting exactly zero of my business.
Can anyone explain this to me bizarre way of their thinking that I will still go and play just as much as with some offers? If they look back in their history it is obvious that insults equals greatly reduced or zero play. I have the option of driving another half hour to MGM in Springfield Mass. Unfortunately, their paytables are poor. I don’t think the free play I would get there will make up the difference. They do match tier cards though so I guess the only way to find out is from going. My friend who has switched to MGM from the Ct casinos is getting 25 times the free play of Ct. Guess I would have to do the math in the paytable difference and his free play offers and do some calculations. Easy to do. Just ballpark the percentage difference in paytables and see if their generous free play makes up for it. My initial guess is no. They are running in the 96 percent range for Deuces wild and I get nearly 99 percent long term at Mohegan Sun. Guess if I multiply 3 percent in round numbers by my projected coin in for a session, it will give me the amount of free play I would need at MGM per session to equal play at the Ct casinos with zero freeplay.

A quick calculation does show if MGM gives 25 times more freeplay than Ct with the same coin in, the long term end result would roughly be the same. Coin in average for me is 12,000 per session x 3 percent= 360 in free play. That is just about 25 times the Mohegan Sun amount I am getting. Guess I won’t know unless I go. If they do give me 300 or 400 in freeplay at MGM, it would roughly be a wash. Edited to add and I guess BD would know this, usually casinos give much than 1 percent of coin in in freeplay. I think it is usualky about .4 of one percent tops

I guess it is both a curse and a blessing to live as close to the casinos as you do Olds. We live just under two hours away from our nearest casino which is probably about ideal. If we lived as close as you did we would probably go three times a week as while. Provided there is no out of control pandemic to deal with. In your area, the virus appears to be under control for the time being anyway. In our area it is out of control and running rampant thanks to opening up too soon.

Our typical trip prior to the pandemic shutdown was overnight 1-2 nights at our local once a month and 3-4 night trips when we were visiting other parts of the country every other month. Post shutdown we have only two one night trips under our belt but are hesitant to plan another trip at this time. This has been our routine since we sold our business in 2009. Not going anywhere takes some getting used to but the cats are glad we are home all the time now.

I quit going in early March and didn’t go back till the last day in May, but I am afraid with the amount of out of stators that come to visit Connecticut in the summer we are going to be starting all over again and the young people for the most part pay no attention at all to anything and congregate either outside of bars in the parking lot or at the beaches or have big house parties until we get a vaccine that works this thing is going to stay out of control And who knows even then if they start reporting cases from the casinos inConnecticut I’m done

Those are two nice hits, olds.

Lots of competition here in Vegas, and better offers from some places than others, with no correlation to the amount of play we gave them prior to the shutdown.
I think it's worse now here than in early June when they reopened. I ventured out 2 days ago, and it was packed at Cosmo. I didn't feel comfortable, so we left after redeeming free play and free food. No social distancing, lots of second hand smoke, people with masks around their necks.
Too many tourists (from California, based on parking lot license plates), and since they are on lockdown, they are coming here.
We opened too soon in Vegas, the casinos talked a lot about their health/safety plans (submitted to the NGCB), and then the dollars took precedence over any enforcement.
IMO, casinos here should not have opened without a smoking ban in place. It's now out of control, and unlikely that the Governor will shut them down a second time, despite rising positive cases/deaths.

If there was a market for it, I'd place my bet on the side of Nevada casinos closing down again before the election.

No inside knowledge.

But since Sisolak was willing to close all the bars again, it's a relatively small step to closing down the casinos as well.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

I wish casinos WOULD shut down again, rethink their safety protocol and plan to take enforcement seriously.
I think the Governor is being pushed around from all sides but is unlikely to risk shutting down casinos for a second time. We can only hope it happens

I have to agree as much as I have been enjoying going to Mohegan Sun since June 1. Even though they are doing a good job safety wise, the crowds are falling back into their old ways. People dropping masks or leaving the nose uncovered which is the gateway by far to the virus. They also opened their pool and spa which i think is a big mistake and have had to close the pool seceral times either due to bad behavior by patrons or other issues. This virus loves hot humid air. They are way understaffed too and their security is overwhelmed by the large crowds as far as the mask issue goes. I just read of a bust of a 700 person house party in NJ We will never git rid of the virus without a proven vaccine with people acting like total Covons as I have coined them. That’s a combo of corona and moron. New York is busting hundreds of bars as well for covon crowd violations.
