grateful to the tampa casino

Post by notes1 »

yes, i am grateful to hard rock tampa casino. not because i am a long time winner(no way), not because they have great VP paytables, not because their slots pay out more than others and not because they give me lots of free play and comps.

i am grateful because since their reopening, they have not budged or loosened their new 'virus' standards. after a shutdown, they closed down more than half their machines and not reopened any since. they increased cleaning procedures and recently added more cleaners. they do not allow drinkers around the bar and have stuck to it. staff are encouraged to politely remind patrons to readjust their masks, and most folks wear them, not always correctly. all table games have plexiglass separation. the bathrooms are cleaned frequently. the casino has been reopened for a couple of months now. and, it should be noted, that the county the casino is located has about 1.5 million residents and 280 total covid deaths.

i am grateful that i have a place to go to, to get out of the house, to have a little fun and the casino has taken responsible actions and stuck to it.

Sounds like an instant replay of Mohegan Sun. I am just curious. Did Tampa also open their pool and Spa? That was the one thing IMO Mohegan Sun should not have done.

olds, while i have never been to either, i think the pool reopened. likely a mistake.

what i neglected to mention in the original post, was that i really hope all the forum members who are going to casinos, are playing where standards are as high or higher than tampa. i had my doubts that a casino could actually operate in a safe manner, during the chinese virus pandemic. but, i believe i was wrong. and, i think credit should also go to the majority of players who are wearing the masks as required.

i/m/o, this shows that the country can stay open, with precautions. as long as folks follow them.

Well said. I am waiting for reports on Borgata before I go. I went at least once a week thru Janurary, Feburary and early March before masks and social distancing were required. I'm sure the virus was with us then. I might have contracted it, but didn't know.

Decided to venture out to Casino Arizona last night. All protocols were in place, everyone wearing masks except folks taking a drink. No smoking inside. Temperature checks to enter and mask available. Wound up playing for a couple of hours. Lost $4 because I didn't quit when I was ahead. Only mistake was playing by the bar. Nobody around when I sat down but then a few younger types ordered drinks and got loud. Should have moved but they were a social distance from me and I was not facing them. Next time I go, I will stay away from that area.

Ditto good news. Yes it can be done! Now if we can only teach the youngsters. Tell that to the 20 lifeguards who just got it from partying either Ny or Nj. i forget.

Speaking of Tampa HR, I miss my old simpatico poster who patronized it. His exile is perhaps for the best, alas.
