Maximizing return and CET Rewards

Post by TripleTriple »

I am currently taking advantage of the sporadic 10X reward credit multiplier at CET properties in AC. If I restrict myself to $10-1RC machines, I am at 1%, making anything above 99% an advantage play, correct? I also get $15-40 free play each day. I usually earn ~1000 TC/base RC a day.

I play mostly 99.2-99.5% payback games-nothing less than 99.0. Most play on 10-1, but rest on 20-1. My issue is the RCs earned are only good for purchases tied to Total rewards, so no true cashback. If converted to slot play, I take a 2:1 hit, making my effective comp return 0.5% or less.

In order to maximize my comps, I guess I should use them for dining and shopping where the ratio is 1:1. Or to pay any balance on room charges. Is this the best utilization of my RC?

At least you get free entertainment.

There are couple of 7X multiplier days for 7 stars. 10X multiplier is rare to get. You may need lots of luck to draw that. Living a life on gambling is only a rumor, but you can get some pocket money if you play with an edge.

When the expiration date of RCs is approaching, you can convert it to free play if you can't use them all. It's still better than paying for the overpriced stuff / food there.

The 1% RC is convertible to free play at something less than 1-1 ?

If you are at the Diamond level (12,000 TC this year), the Laurel Lounge costs $10 Reward Credits. The pre-COVID lounge was worth it when it was a buffet with better food. If you are the Diamond Plus (20,000 TC this year), then the Lounge is free. Since you earn 1,000 TC each day, you are probably Diamond Plus already. If you don't get the 10X multiplier, do you go home?

Some casino people seem to not have a home to go to.
Then there are at least two couples at my home casino who have full suites and live there.

Couple of years ago, 7* was 1.5:1. And this year, Harrahs AC offered 1:1 free play ($250 maximum) on some day as a promotion.
