Extremely Lucky. I should quit for the year now!

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

I must have actually made mind bets during NFL season. Too wise to actually bet, but it's fun to see how I would have fared.
You will find yourself rooting against your mind bet , this way u saved money !! lol !

All done with spin poker. When it is cold, the losses are times 3 and 1,000 bucks vanishes in short order. The Clone has little chance with it in a cold cycle. That happened last night. Back to single line games next trip probably Tuesday evening. Back to a quarter game licking my wounds. Very close to going into negative territory for 2021. The last Royal on 6/1 seems like a distant memory. Just about 40,000 hands ago now. Amazing how that nearly 2 percent difference in total returns Royal/No Royal is also the make or break for staying in positive territory for the year. The Clone on a single line game can usually keep me alive until another Royal hits, but to stay plus for the year, the Royal has to come along and not stay in hiding in the closet.

See my earlier post. I’m no Nostradamus, but this was a likely outcome regardless of game. Short order cooked. It is cruising for a bruising. You are now back at the Quarter Only devout declaration stage, my turf. This will last for maybe a session.

How many hands are you averaging this year between royals?

Right on target this year. First year I can ever remember being so. Mostly between 35,000-50,000. Some years ago and not that many, those two horrible stretches of more than 600,000 hands each almost made me give up vp as being rigged. I still don’t think most believe that could happen but it did. On the other hand, as I have posted about many times, who would possibly think in the same 12 hour period two jackpots would hit for exactly 18,000 each on two completely different machines, two completely different games, and amounts bet per hand being changed up or down less than a minute apart varying from 1.25 to 15 bucks or so. Such is the nature of Video Poker.

You have provided so much vicarious entertainment for your loyal soldiers, Quad Father. I wish that I had taken a few more chances on Sunday. I left ahead, but it was chump changed compared to what might have been. Did I leave a hot machine or just beat the cold cycle? I'll never know.

If only I had the discipline to bail on a hot machine on a 5-10 percent decline on the highest number of credits in one. I have played a hot machine down to 0 more times than I can count, including a few stretches this year.

Richard Benjamin Harrison, a.k.a. The Appraiser/TOM. Absolute dead ringer. Harrison died in Las Vegas in 2018.
