Playing without PCC

Post by wildman49 »

Does anyone play without there player's club card in?

I do this some trips when I am going to play nickels or pennies. Just don't want this play to show up on my account after playing 5 bucks a hand all month long. Sometimes I will just play on my wife's card to get her point total higher for better comps since she is not as big of player.

Some trips like today just me and my buddy going for lunch and small amount of play. No card for the day since the players club wants you to play all day and track your time on device or TOD all day.

Since I play advantage play most the time there are times like today that I will play recreational but at a small bet rate and short time frame so I don't play with my card in. It's a cat and mouse game with the casino host and players club since they both are hush hush on many ways the awards are given for play.

I pretty much always use it except picking off plays on UX, Multi-Streak, etc. Also on a few slot plays I won't use it as well.

So true.

I think you have the perfect solution -- always use your wife's card in those situations.

If I play uncarded, it's usually a scenario where I still have an edge. Typical situation would be attending a drawing on a non-multiplier day, and I find short-term stuff such as Jstark mentioned. But that's speculative because I may already have triggered a "session" when I swiped in for the drawing.

On rare occasions the card stays holstered because I found a big edge and don't want to show a win.

Promos and monthly offers down here aren't worth a hill of beans. That and most high paying machines downgraded makes it a worthless endeavor. Wildman still has good games up there.

Vegas has been very tough since the reopenings. Play slots at 10% edge and enjoy 0.1% cash back.

Caesar properties really penalize you if you short your play. They do an average so your big days are mixed with your small days. Some even charge you a days average if you just swipe your card and don't play. If you play big it is best not to use a card when you are not going to bet much.

I read on Seven Stars Insider that to pick up your free gift in Philly and AC, you have to earn 5 tier credits first. That will really hurt your daily average.

From my records I don't seem penalize all that much. As far as swipe at the kiosk only trips I have not seen a down tick in free play. I do a few trips a month to collect free play I know that's not good. We also have a free gift day and free play is given, right now I get $30 that day only. I play heavy early in the month to get an edge on promo entrees so I play it then. Later in the month I play less and don't bother with the free junk as my buddy calls it.

I did 452k coin in this month. Maybe I can get away with a few light days then. I am at $250 free play weekly with another $250 per week on what they call extra pay day. There is only one step higher that is $500 weekly plus the extra pay day per week. There is nothing in between them two amounts.

Trying to work my play higher to find that $500 tipping point since them players club and host office will not give out any help on this.

Maybe Webman can move this topic to strategy form guess it's not really one for rec.

My personal experience suggests there are few if any industry standards, so every casino needs to be evaluated individually. Or at least every ownership group.

Those are the little details that add up to a lot. One of the Vegas properties has monthly programs of weekly drawings. Once an entry is earned, it remains available the entire month. So the smart and/or disciplined players will overload their action in week 1. Sometimes the rules are unclear, so you have to try it out to see if your entries carry forward.
