More voodoo for u

Post by stevel96a1 »

who doesn't like to tamper w/ their denom? my reflection of memories that stick out in past several years playing video poker (mainly DW) i recall bringing 500$ roll w/ me and played all night DW and on my last 10$ i hit 4 ducks 10-20min later another 4 ducks and eventually got the third and cashed out winner.
my last trip i didn't want to take down too much money but im glad i did and glad i tampered w/ my bets last trip was suppose to be 4 ducks on .25 but nailed on .50 (lucky) i know it will all even out in the end what the math says its to. but feels good to win more i also remember playing 5$ a few years back TDB 98.15 that game ate 900$ fairly fast went atm took out more money and dropped to .5 denom and 2minutes from getting back from atm delt 4 to the royal bam the machine RF'ed me 2k$ hand pay. how i wish had i stayed on 5$ per hand additional 2k would have been nice but still a winner

im also watching youtube videos and one gamblers say what cards you hold MATTERS and how much you bet/risk MATTERS

playing on my phone only beatable game app was TDB 98.15 won 5x bankroll and winpoker showed 1 result ahead 8x the starting roll on 97% TDB. also my system using 1-3 spread(.25-1$) ddbl 97.7% showed a win of 8k$ but gave half of it back. (would have won way more had i kicked off at 1$ denom)

the only voodoo that worked was the guy on youtube who closed out 3 royals using a aggressive betting structure which i read in a gambling book you need phenomenal luck to achieve that result and playing on my phone closing out 2 royals seems impossible let alone 3, maybe changing casinos helped? who knows..

I've noticed the most successful gamblers with the best knowledge are usually the least talkative. The big talkers are usually spewing misinformation.

Voodoo is probably never helpful, but it's not always harmful. If you're playing a 9/6 JOB machine and a premonition tells you to switch to a different 9/6 JOB machine, your EV is still the same.

Changing denominations is also EV (%) neutral if the pay table remains unchanged, except when you stumble into a w2g that screws up your taxes.

I was referring to the youtube channels you referenced. They're the ones with a big audience.

I'm afraid to ask what he meant by that. Does he depart from optimal strategy based on how the cards are flowing?

"I learned to be successful by watching youtube videos," said the applicant just before his job interview abruptly came to an end.
