Re: A Trip to Bizarro World!
No. My earlier bets were quarter and due to ice cold machines, I had progressed to halves then dollars. I could have easily busted without this hand. Ended way up, but was just luck. Back to quarters after that which was uneventful. I am still way down for the year, but mostly due to discipline control. I have that under control for the last couple of months.

Yes, your reports reflect much less recklessness since the summer.

The biggest problem is getting ahead and not quitting or backing bet size way down. I know the experts will say that doesn’t matter, but I find after 30 million or so hands that most often the time between big events is huge. So at least for me, hit and run or hit and crawl at lower denomination.

Interesting. I find the opposite. I have had "big events" occur very close to one another, in almost every instance.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:24 am

Yes I have heard that before too from many. Here is an interesting tidbit that most will throw cold water on. I play strictly the older vp machines. I find the nornal spaces with those. With the newer ones that have more flimsy buttons and glitchy software, I find very long dud cycles then win cycles compressed together. End results the same I suspect. Anyway, those machines continually bust my bankroll unless I catch them at the right time. The old ones, I can expect something good every 5,000 hands or so and playing the Martingale Clone, I can weather that, but not the newer machines that may not hit anything good at all in an 8-10 hour cycle. The last time I played a newer machine it busted a 1,500 budget playing quarters in 9/6 JOB by not hitting even one quad in 9 and 1/2 hours of play at about 600-700 hands per hour.

I played a newer on the other day just for the heck of it with my 20 bucks free play. It hit on JOB back to back quads right away and about 5 minutes later dealt 4 Aces with a 3. Ugh!! Job. I switched it to Joker kings and got 3 quads and A straight. flush in 10 hands. Like a dummy, I figured oh boy, I got a good one. My 20 had become 80 and I put in another 100 dollar bill. In 20 minutes everything was gone playing just 1.25 at a time. I estimated about 250 bucks coin in that 20 minutes and it ate 180 bucks of the 250 coin in. Short term result. I get that part
