Re: A Trip to Bizarro World!

You would be surprised how bad it can get here for some people not living down toward NYC. People seem to be running up their credit cards like they never have to pay them off. Bankruptcies and foreclosures are sure to follow. Some of the people that work at the casino have two or three jobs. The pay is so low at the casino. Most work there mainly for the health insurance. The immediate area near the casino is typical blue collar and lower Middle class. The towns and cities not far away have the usual problems if not worse. Especially the cities. I think many people are hitting the casino as just someplace to go. I still have no trouble getting the machines I like. The younger set seems to have no trouble blowing a good chunk of their pay or benefits in the clubs and bars. I don’t think they drop that much into the machines. Just out of curiosity, I am going to follow up on the casino handle soon for the 2022 year. All of that is public record. Bizarro is doing a lot of convention business to fill the gaps and keep the hotel busy. I really have to stay on top of things for openings to get a comp room ( never get Fridays or Saturdays ). A surprise to me as my yearly coin in varies between one and two million a year. Going forward, that will continue to fall off as age etc. is catching up with me. Anyway, as with all of us, every day is a gift.
