Pretty consistent results

Post by olds442jetaway »

I just reviewed my Royal count for 2021 and so far for 2022. The results were pretty much in the ballpark of what the math would call for. I had 16 Royals in 2021. My total hands of draw poker played being heavily weighted to Deuces Wild for the year was about 700,000, down somewhat from prior years. That means on the average, a Royal appeared once every 43,750 hands. That’s right about what would be expected for a Deuces Wild game.
I haven’t hit any Royals so far for 2022 and have played just under 100,000 hands. Hopefully tomorrow on my next session, one will come home.

It is nice when royals come when they should. I am in a royal slump right now but I think over the years I might be slightly ahead. I am at caesars right now here in Windsor. Just across the border from Detroit. Lots of comp rooms but pool, spa, buffet and second hotel tower all closed. They rely on people from Detroit but until the testing to enter Canada gets dropped the Americans will not cross.

Stay safe and well and of course best of luck and have fun. Please don’t repeat my Royal slump to beat all slumps of a few years ago. Well over 600,000 hands!!!

My problem is not royals they come in on time it's the 4ok, fl , fh, and st. are not coming in. There is so many dead hands where I play I have given up and at this point in the new year have shut down play. Ted always said if you don't like the way the machines play stop playing. The casino is very slow, restaurant food was getting Blan, it's time for a long break.

Be safe and well Wildman. They keep beating me up too on the long dud cycles. I have resorted to nickel play with a sprinkling of quarters. Of course world events have me preoccupied now and pretty much glued to the news hoping for the best. I manage these two hits last night on a nice overnight trip with the Mrs. but still ended up a loser no Royale only caught the deuces one. The crazy thing is I consistently can do better on 96% Nickel machines with three lines of play using the Martingale clone. As soon as I switch to quarter play on a single line game on a 99% machine I get destroyed on one of those long does streaks. For example last night I was ahead 100 bucks on Nichols basically as a result of the two hits you see here. took that hundred and two more hundred dollar bills and got wiped out

The above started with 30 bucks free play. I would rather play these for fun than stay home. At least for now. As to the casino food I agree 100%. Plus it is loaded with sodium. We are at the point now where we are having dinner at home before we go to the casino and just grab a snack or coffee up there. And if they dare bring back smoking I am done for good with them. For now every hour or so they are playing a recording of this is a non-smoking facility and so on and so forth and to go outside and smoke. The place is immaculate since they have done away with smoking in the protocols are still in place. I didn’t realize what a pigsty the casinos were in general with the mess that smokers make Until playing for the last year or so without the smoke and with Covid cleaning protocols in place

I don't have formal training in logic, but if you win on the 96s and lose on the 99s, shouldn't you play the 96s? Aside from the winning, you'll presumably earn momentum dollars, and your theo should be far superior for slot club benefits.
And if they dare bring back smoking I am done for good with them.
Are you hearing any rumors?

I don't understand it. The tribals have been polar opposites to the Nevada casinos. People say that's because Nevada is different, but gamblers are gonna do what gamblers do. I imagine a planet in another solar system where degeneracy is mostly unknown and the inhabitants have not evolved faces. Go into a casino on that planet, and it will be filled with smokers.

I had two RFs in 2021, satisfactory for my 50,000 or so hands. Restaurant food is just fine. Gordon Ramsay, Water Dog, Longo's, any number of steakhouses and fish places. GR still does a 1:1 comps policy. The Italian subs are the sodium bombs. As for games, already sick of practicing DW. Too many dud hands. I'm not a magician. It's more frustrating than fun. A smokeless AC is of course a pipe dream. Just keep the pipe guy away from me. Cigarette ash is a part of the decor, especially given some of the VP degenerates.

In my experience, cigarette and cigar smokers usually have some self-awareness that everyone else considers them pests. But pipe guy thinks you enjoy his exhaust fumes.

Pipe guys are nonexistent here in Connecticut. The last one I remember was about 10 years ago smoking some cherry blend and as you said acting like everybody enjoyed it. I heard on the news the other day that New Jersey is considering banning smoking in Atlantic City but some gaming study the casinos probably paid for convinced lawmakers at least for now they would lose 10 to 20% of their business. Here in Connecticut where there has been no smoking since Covid reopening, the casinos have had The best years ever. I do agree with allowing the smokers to go smoke outside and it would be the decent thing to do to have some sort of Quonset hut or something similar with maybe some portable heat source out there. Anyway it is a real pleasure at the moment and I hope it continues. as to nickel play versus quarters, I’ve only got about half a dozen sessions to compare Results with. A lot has to do with how far I can push the martingale clone method I use. I can afford to push it to say 30 nickels but not to 30 dollars if I was playing a triple play dollar game and burning $10 a line
